Need plan eval please. Brain is fried.

I haven't figured out what costumes we could do that wouldn't be too hot, or that will work with my husband's Duck Dynasty still beard. Ugn

If costumes are stressful, know that there will be plenty of people not in costume.

This seems like a lot of back and forth across property for a first day when you'll be tired from travelling. I would drop going to Disney Springs and just eat at Animal Kingdom, a lot of their quick services have good food, especially the one in Pandora.
True. It may be best to just do Counter Service this day.

I would drop BOG. Breakfast is really pricey and not worth it. It is also at a time when it's best to get on rides without fast pass. I would do Ohana and drop Skipper Canteen. Then after your meal you could rest for a few hours and go back to the park for EMH. I love the food at Ohana and at that hour the wait isn't bad and the food is fresh.
I did cancel BOG. Still can't decide between Ohana and Skipper Canteen. There have been a lot of great points brought up for both.

I had a reservation for Garden Grill at that time and was able to get in the park at 8am. It was pretty awesome being in an empty park. We were seated immediately and finished up before the park technically was open. I would definitely drop the homecomin brunch and just stick around Epcot. For Test Track, if the line is really long, single rider is usually like a 5 minute wait when stand by is an hour.
I cancelled Homecomin'. You're right And thanks about the tip of single rider on Test Track.

During food and wine I typically eat from the booths for lunch and then do a sit down meal for dinner. If you have local hibachi places near you I would drop Teppan Edo.
I think the F & W booths would be more than enough too, but my son LOVES Teppan Edo and it's his Senior year, so I figure why not.

This seems like a lot of back and forth since they are on opposite sides of the property. The Cali brunch was the best meal I've had at Disney (besides Victoria and Albert's) so I definitely wouldn't drop that. I feel like it'll be cutting it close though. Even with a fast pass, I've waited a half hour to ride, especially with the two rooms you have to watch videos in before the actual ride. I would try and get that later or drop it completely. I've heard that the line isn't that bad when it's right before park close. Just noticed you have a fast pass for it on a different day. Definitely drop that and do the brunch.
We do have the FP earlier in the week, true. I just keep hearing about how awesome the ride is. But less, probably is more.

This will be cutting it close. You might be able to do the Seven Dwarfs (I would check in 5 minutes early) and see if you can move up your Haunted Mansion fast pass to that time after you check in for SD. But you'll have to take the monorail to the resort and it could either be really quick or take a while. Plus those rides are in the back of the park so you'll need to factor that in for time. I think as long as you get to the monorail by 10am you should be fine.
I'm worried also, since it's our check out day. That seems like a lot trying to get out the door, to MK, then breakfast at Ohana's.

If costumes are stressful, know that there will be plenty of people not in costume.
I'm not stressed about them, but would like to take part in dressing up. I think I'll just don some Halloween Mickey ears and shirt and call it good though. Thanks for helping make sure I'm not stressed.

It says "Arrive and MK" here... do you just mean AK? Personally, I would just arrive and then head over to AK. To go to Disney Springs would take up a lot of time, and it doesn't seem worth going out of your way for it just to eat at Homecomin'. I would eat at AK. If you decide to stick with Homecomin' at 4pm, have something light when you arrive or you won't be very hungry for it.
Oops. I meant AK only. I was worried too about whether we'd be hungry for Homecomin'. Someone suggested doing it later in the week, so I changed it. Actually got their brunch for day 9 instead.

I would probably just go with Gaston's. 9:30 is prime time, and if you have a big QS breakfast, I don't think you'd be all that hungry for a 3:50 Ohana ADR. I'd probably opt for the Skipper Canteen on anyone just for ease of staying in the park.
Thanks to you all, we have decided to do Gaston's or Sleepy Hollow that morning instead. Still undecided about evening meal.

would stick with Garden Grill. It is not quick or easy to hop to Disney Springs.
Staying in Epcot and sticking with Garden Grill. Thanks

I would plan to eat an early dinner right before going to the party. Enjoy snacks or the candy during the party. In my own experience, there are only limited QS options during the party and they were all packed. Took nearly an hour for us, so it wasted valuable party time.
Thanks, that's helpful information.

Sci Fi and 50s Prime Time, both at DHS, are some of my favorite restaurants on property! If you can get an ADR at this point for either, I would do it.
Thank you

I would just do Food & Wine. We've done Rose & Crown strictly for Illuminations and weren't impressed. The food is good enough, but we didn't care for it for Illuminations. We were seated quite late and we had an obstructed view on the upper level of the patio. You're free to move to the standing room section of the patio for a unobstructed view, but that defeated the purpose of our ADR there. IMO, Illuminations is easy to see from most anywhere and easy to grab a spot last minute.
Thank you! That helps a lot!!!

I would have a very light lunch if your dinner is at 4:15. One thing I have learned is that even though in the "real world", I eat breakfast/lunch/dinner at normal times... in Disney, the portions are large and the food is rich. I space out my dining pretty far apart (i.e. breakfast 7am, lunch 12pm, dinner 7pm).
Yeah, I hadn't thought about that. Maybe we'll just do a late mid morning QS breakfast instead.

I would say its not enough time, and frankly I think its too time consuming to hop all the way over to the Contemporary just to go back to AK again afterwards. If you are doing FOP earlier in the trip, I would probably just sleep in, go to brunch, and then head over to AK.
I think I am starting to think the same. I want to be able to enjoy the trip too, not just be constantly running.

I would be leaving MK around 10 to make sure I got to Poly in time. You're supposed to check in about 15 minutes early. You *may* have enough time for Haunted Mansion - try booking a FP for it, and take advantage of checking into your FP for both of these 5 minutes early
I checked FP times for Haunted Mansion, but there were none left for later in the day. I don't think it'd be worth it to go into MK for one ride only and then breakfast. May just have to go after breakfast and just stroll around.
