Need packing suggestions for a two part trip

We are leaving in 9 days & I haven't started packing! We will be spending 4 nights in WDW followed by 5 nights on a Carnival cruise. I can't decide how I should pack. I thought about packing in separate suitcases like it's 2 separate trips. I also thought about washing everything on the last night in WDW. We would like to pack lightly but I'm not sure how. Any tips?

Last year, we did a THREE part road trip! We went to Gatlinburg first, Ft. Lauderdale for a wedding, and then to WDW. I packed two separate bags: one bag for Gatlinburg, another for FLL, and then washed everything right when we got to WDW, then just packed it all up to go home. It was nice leaving half of the things in the car for the first parts of the trip.

I would pack for a week and do the laundry the night before.
