Are you using Magical Express? If so, ME picks up about 3 hours before your scheduled departure.

Some good CS locations -

Epcot -
Sunshine Seasons
Other good choices in the World Showcase but depends on what you're looking for.

Magic Kingdom -
Cosmic Ray's,
Columbia Harbour House

Animal Kingdom -
Flame Tree Barbecue

Disney's Hollywood Studio -
We don't care for any CS here, but the kids can handle the pizza at Pizza Planet. If you have time, you could ride the boat over to the Beach Club or Boardwalk, nice ride and a great way to check out other resorts, but I'm not sure what is CS there. (We love Beach and Cream... can't remember if it's CS.)

The picnic in the park deal is no longer - you can pick up items to go and make your own picnic so to speak but its no longer an option to reserve a Picnic in the Park.

I agree with the PP that we don't have a fav. CS at DHS, but Pizza Planet is ok, and the kids are usually good w/ pizza.
Your MK before SpectroMagic & Wishes - I would suggest Casey's Corner for hot dogs/corn dogs & fries. We usually like to get a table outside and sit there while the parade is going on and then watch Wishes. It's slightly obstructed depending on the table, but you get to sit at tables rather than on the ground and can kick back and enjoy - we don't usually get to see much of the parade though so if you are really looking to see that then it's probably not the best.
We ate most of our CS meals at the food court at our resort (All Stars), the TS meals in the parks were enough to fill us for most of the day with just snacks in between.
Have fun!
