Need opinions

I have a reservation now for Alfredo's. I saw some updated menu's &
I am not so sure I'm happy with that choice. What do you think...
Alfredo's, MaMa Melrose, or Tony's?

I've never eaten there myself but a good friend at work ate there and was not very happy w/ Alfredo's, she said the food was too heavy, overly sauced, and the sauce didn't have much flavor. For the price she was really disappointed. I've never done Mama's or Tony's either so don't have much to compare it to but just thought I'd share my friend's experience w/ you. Hey! Just found this review of Mama's and thought I'd share it:

for us, and we were pleased as usual. I had the charred steak which was
suprisingly good, the wife had the salmon, which she thought was great.
Great service here (first time on the trip we actually had "great" service)
Sy was our waiter's name I believe.

that have been updated in the last month or so aren't looking quite as good to me. I didn't look at Alfredo's, but some of the others seem to have less choices now, and more standardized type things - not as individual seeming. I was wondering if I was just grouchy the morning I read menus, or if they really have changed, not so much for the better.

Anyway, we ate at Mama Melrose's on our last trip and liked it fine. The atmosphere was very pleasant, cool and subdued with twinkly little white lights. We had very good flatbread, and I liked the minestrone quite well. I don't remember what all else we had - we were pretty full when we got there (Mickey Bars too close to dinner ), but I remember thinking I wouldn't mind eating there again. Hope that helps a little.

I've eaten at all three and prefer Mama Melrose. The food was excellent and we had wonderful service. Besides at Mama Melrose you get the Fantasmic Pkg.

At Alfredos the food was sort of tasteless and we had a really snotty waiter who got almost irate when we told him we didn't want any alcohol. I got the steak at both places by the way. My mom got a veal dish she absolutely loved at Tony's, but I got the chicken and it was almost too dry and hard to eat. The chocolate torte at Tony's was also very dry and too hard to cut with a fork.

Mama Melrose is a must do for us. We have dined there numerous times and love it.

Alfredos was enjoyable when I dined there last year. I have also been a couple times way back (80s (as a kid) and 90s) and enjoyed it then too. We don't go there as often not because it's bad, but it never seems to work out. We will be going back for the CP Package this December though.

Tonys we went to once and will not be going back.

We ate lunch at Alfredo's last December and really liked it. We have an ADR there for our upcoming October trip.
