Need opinions please!

Sounds high and mighty--versus prim and proper.

Birthdaybration sounds very very weird to me--almost like you tried too hard to come up with a clever name.

I agree with Lisa. Desnik- any chance you could tell us what the product or service is? Sounds like some kind of party organizing service. What's special/unique/sets your biz apart from the competition? Lots of creative folks here with some good ideas.:)

Birthdaybration seems a bit tough to read/ say. I had to pause and make sure I was saying it right. If this is going to be a company/business, the name should be something easy to say and read, and catchy!

Tea parties with lace and bows and pink and white gloves

I agree with the PPs. I think Prim Parties sounds like Tea Parties for little girls. I just saw pinkies in the air :snooty: and BirthdayBration really doesn't roll off the tongue very easily.

What type of business are you getting into?

Is it Kid's Party planning? Because that's what I'm in, but I won't tell you the name of my business until you figure out a name for yours. :lmao:

You all are helping so much and I really appreciate it!!

I agree with most of what has been said. I just need to know I'm not the only one! LOL

I will post what it is in a bit, I just want to try out some other names first.

What about "Blow Out The Candles"?

What I am having a problem is I want the website to be the same name as the business and be a .com, not a .net, or .biz. So, all the traditional party names, like Parties R Us are all taken as website names.

Maybe you could tell us what the business is, and let us see if we can help you brainstorm?

Blow out the candles is fine, but seems like a birthday ONLY type of party business...will you want to be involved in other types of parties?

What about the name of the town and then the word Birthdays?

I understand your struggle with the web address. It seems everything .com is taken. I simply added my state's two letter abbreviation to the end of the name.

Some names I'd considered were "Parties with Pizzaz" and "It's My Party". The name I chose was "Let's Party" and my website is www.letsparty-la.com.

I know I told you I wouldn't tell you the name, but we're all friends here, right?

Ok, it's a children's birthday party facility. No ball pits or bouncing things. No jungle gyms and such. A nicely decorated space that does one birthday at a time for kids ages 2-10. All party goods provided, decorations, food, drinks, invites, goody bags, activities, etc for a 90 min. party. 2 hostesses and we do set up and clean up. Theme parties like tea party, pirate party, luau....

We had this business 8 years ago for about 9 months. It was great but our location was horrible. Then I got pregnant, had to go on bed rest, had a premie and he was very sick for a long time. so we closed the business to focus more on him. Now our kids are 12 and 7 and I have been a SAHM. I have been dying to do the business again. We saved the money so we don't have to get any loans and we just found the perfect location. But we are having the hardest time coming up with a name!

Blow out the candles is better.... but try these

Piece 'O Cake Party Planners (illustrating you'll make it simple to throw a great party)

or

Party Plan-it (like Planet)--(" a whole world of possibilities for your next party)

Birthdaybration is a word you have to think about? Like BirthdayBash is pretty simple and I instantly recognize those two words mashed together. I had to seperate the two to get Birthday and Celebration. Although it does roll off the tongue really well. Illiteration with b's are fun to say.

Of course I don't have much room to talk. I named this years PeepArt contest 'Peeptastic'...:rotfl:

I like both of these, but I like Piece O' Cake the best! :thumbsup2

My goal is to get a building and do that exact same thing. However, that's not in my budget just yet, so I'm a traveling kids party planner. I would like to get into renting out bounce houses, etc. eventually, but for now I bring the party supplies, set up and clean up, do activities with the kids and handle third party vendors.

I would love to talk to you (pm maybe) about how to charge. I'm clueless when it comes to that kind of stuff. I don't want to overcharge but I don't want to sell myself short either. :confused3

Kidspartyplace

kidspartyspace

yourpartyplace

heresyourparty

partyroom

thepartyroom

none of these googled to a .com in the US (one did come up as a uk.com)

Honestly the first thing I thougt of was those women's parties that sell sexy lingere and sex toys, only for the modest set. Lacy, full length nightgowns instead of garter belts and thongs, and well something prim and proper instead of the usual toys at those parties.

Prim is kinda of a negative word to me, right up there with stuffy, boring, stick in the mud, rigid, and uptight. Or like your Great Aunt Gertrude who always gave you the stink eye at the holidays if you crossed your legs instead of your ankles.

Same here, though with less emphasis on the "prim" part. I think I went there because it's kind of the opposite (so people can say they're going somewhere "prim" but buy something not so prim) and it rhymes with trim. I don't know. Probably not the association you want for a party planning place.

BirthdayBash and Piece O'Cake Party Planners are GREAT!

I am going somewhere with this so please play along!;)

When you hear the name of this business, "Prim Parties" what is the first thing that comes to mind? What type of business do you think it is just by seeing/hearing the name?

Without reading any responses, I think of old ladies in a tea room.

(now I will go back and read to see if anyone else thinks that)

Sounds cool. Trying to think of things that don't sound like porno.;)

I like "Birthday Bash"! :thumbsup2

:rotfl::lmao: I know, me too!

Birthday Bash was a name I had on my list, but DH doesn't like it! In the area there are a few kids party places, but nothing like what I plan to do. There names are Party Palace, Jumping Jakes, Party Playhouse, Kids Playhouse, and
Buzzing Bees. So I am trying to find a name that is nothing like the others. This is harder than I thought it would be!
