Need opinion on using MK EMH in Nov

Hi!

I get the general impression the first week of Nov, when our trip is planned, that crowds will not be that bad, even though Jersey Week begins at the end of that week.

I also get the general impression that we should try to use EMH when available.

What I'm reading on touring plan sites/books is to avoid MK on Sunday, which is the first day of our trip -- because, like us, most people travel on Saturday and can tour on Sunday and naturally go to MK first. However, we have an ADR in MK Sunday night. ALSO, MK has EMH that night.

So, how would you work that first day? Go ahead and tackle MK all day? Or go elsewhere for most of the day and hop to MK for the rest of the evening from dinner on?

Here's my concern about doing MK all day long -- I don't want to wear us all out on our very first day (2 adults, 2 young children, 2 seniors), and MK seems like the really intensive park.

How would YOU plan it?? Would you take the advice of the travel books/sites and avoid MK that day and just spend the evening there since dinner's there? Or roll the dice on th crowd level and go to MK anyway? Or maybe attempt MK that day and if it gets to be too much hop to a different park? We've paid for the park hopper option -- seems silly to only use it to get to dinner and all.

I will say that we have 5 days planned for touring, and because AK doesn't seem to have anything out of the ordinary to offer except KS and EE and show or two, we'll probably just spend a 1/2 day there, leaving time to go elsewhere in the evening. So, it's not like we have only one day per park.

Personally I would choose Option 2. Choose a more relaxing park for the early part of the day, go back to the hotel to nap, shower, etc. and head to MK for your dinner reservation and EMH. Anything you miss at either park you can go back to during the course of the week. I personally like the parks at night! They're so pretty all lit up!

Have a GREAT trip! We'll be there around that time too... NEXT YEAR :sad1:
