I'm wanting to get a new camera. I don't know what to get. I have 2 DD's and a baby boy due in May. We go to disney twice a year. I'm wanting a camera that will be good for program that the kiddos are in, also they take gymnastics. I want one that is good for disney and to take pictures of the baby. Any ideas? Thanks

What is your budget, are you willing to be changing lenes, can you handle a dSLR with 3 small children?

What does your current camera not allow you to shoot that you want to get shots of?

I don't want to change lenses, 3 small children being part of it. I have a Sony cyber shot 3 meg. My oldest is 4, I got it before she came. It doesn't zoom real good. If I'm stuck in the back for their programs, then I don't get the best picture.

I was looking at a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ18k 8.1 meg. 18x optical zoom

also, the Cannon power shot S5 IS 8 meg 12x optical.

I had the Powershot S2 and loved it. I've trie dout the S5 several times and really like it.

I think your on the right path then, also check out the Fuji Bridge camera, I don't know what the current model is but they use a slightly larger sensor which gives you slightly better low light performance.

I do know I want a ion battery, that can be recharged. I don't know much about fuji.

Also, were would you buy from? I've always bought from Circuit City, but I've heard rumors of them not being around in a yr or so. I planned on getting the extended warranty.

Out of these 2, which one is best?

I also want an ion battery that is also rechargable.

Honestly which ever of the 2 feel better to you when your holding it and trying to use it.

You can check out reviews at dpreview.com to see what the tests say, but if it doesn't feel good in your hand you won't use it

I haven't found the panasonic in a store yet.
