Need one more Fun dining spot - looking for more than food

Definately Whispering Canyon Cafe! We had the best time there and the food was super yummie. We had breakfast there on our last day. Ask for ketchup. Also ask for a *large* drink.

Another option is Beirgarten. The German food is very kid-friendly and the oopmpah music and atmosphere are very fun. Not all of the Epcot restaurants are particularly kid-oriented.

I was thinking about WCC - would it be to similiar to O'hana - or are they very different in terms of food and experience?

WCC and Ohana are very, very different. Ohana is a multi-course meal served family style while WCC is a standard, everyone orders their own individual entree type place. While they do have an endless skillet that you can order, they also have other options. WCC has more "Southern" food, like ribs, cornbread, BBQ chicken, etc, while Ohana dinner is very meat-centric and has a Polynesian/Hawaiian vibe.

We really liked Sci-fi...great shakes and very cool atmosphere.

ALso, try getting any character meal BEFORE a park opens...you will have the park to yourselves as you walk in to go to this meal and be INSIDE the park before it opens.

Yet another vote for Whispering Canyon. We've eaten at many different places in Disney World with our two sons, but they seem to have the fondest (and funnest!) memories of WC. (they were 5 and 9 when we ate there last summer)

The lodge is beautiful with a great boat ride to get there, and our food was super yummy too.

Biergarten can be lots of fun but sometimes a part of that fun does depend on group you are sitting with. When I have been with my family, we're generally with other families. Sometimes they are really into the atmosphere and other times they aren't. That's okay! But I do love seeing the little kids dance when the music plays.

In all honesty, the only time we were not happy with the people we were sitting with was during our honeymoon. My husband and I were sitting with people who were obviously a little more than tipsy from the beer they were drinking to the point where they were downright loud and obnoxious. Unfortunately, the place was packed and we couldn't switch seats.

Of course this one bad experience did not keep us from trying it again! We have plans to eat there next month.
