We are trying to decide on one more dinner for our TS credits on the DDP for our upcoming trip. So far we have

Crystal Palace
Big River Grill
Wolfgang Puck Cafe
BOMA
Rose and Crown
LeCellier
Chef Mickeys
and breakfast at 1900 Park Fare and Donalds Breakfastasaurus

We have eaten at most of these but are open to some new choices. For this dinner it will be just two adults and we have 2 TS left. Any suggestions? We are lookign for something that is a great deal on DDP and a great choice of food. I have looked over the menus a ZILLION times and just cannot decide! :confused3 HELP!

I'd suggest Chefs de France, Spoodles, Coral Reef, or Marrakesh.

Thanks for the suggestions so far....any reasoning behind them? All info is greatlty appreciated! ;)

My suggestions are based on which restaurants we've had the best dining experiences over the years we've been visiting WDW. You didn't mention any specific preferences and desires of you and your companion; perhaps if you did we could target our suggestions to what would best serve your interests. :thumbsup2

Thanks Bicker! Well, we pretty much like all different things and are open to trying things we have not done before. We are hoping to maximize our use of the TS DDP credits with a place that offers good variety in the dessert and appetizer departments.
We have never dined at any of your suggested locations, so how are the appetizers and desserts at those locations?
Thanks again! :goodvibes

In terms of financial value - your best bet is to pick a place that offers a la carte pricing as opposed to buffet pricing. (Breakfast at Crystal Palace is not a good use of TS credits, but is a better deal for dinner.)

One place that hasn't been listed is the Yacht Club Galley. We've done Kona several times (location/decor), but were rather disappointed the last few times. They have cool desserts, but we had trouble finding entrees we wanted to eat. The service we had last time was really bad.

Conversely, we had a great time at the Yacht Club Galley. It was a nice quiet break from Epcot/MGM. The boat ride to get there, if you so choose, is very nice too. They have a roast beef sandwich that is very yummy, they also had a good vegetarian option there (I don't recall what it was, only that it was really good). They have fun desserts, and colorful drinks for the kids. Our server was great, too! Most of us had water, a large group, and the server was really nice about filling our glasses and understanding that we didn't want alcohol after a long day in the sun. We were a little early for dinner, but the place was fairly quiet. The decor is so-so.

Another place that we really enjoyed is the Pepper Market at Coronado Springs, especially if you are looking to resort hop for an evening/afternoon. It's a really nice resort for an after dinner stroll. Much of the food there is cooked to order. It's much better quality than any other food courts on property. Depending on what you order, the financial value of your voucher will be maxxed. Plus, they have a fresh fruit bar with fruits like strawberries. A real plus during a week of Disney food! The pizza there is also a cut above other property locations!

Of those choices I'd pick Boma or Crystal Palace. Boma if you're more adventurous eaters, Crystal Palace if you're picky(meat n potatoes) eaters. Also would depend upon where you are gonna be at the time of your reservation. Wouldn't pick Boma if all you can get is an 8pm reservation and you want to be in the magic kingdom at 9pm for a parade, for example. :confused3

Chefs de France really excels at everything. Whether the appetizer is a salad or escargots, it's something special. The desserts are wonderful as well. Spoodles used to be all about the appetizers, so there are still a few wonderful options, flatbreads with hummus, garlic shrimp, etc. -- things we would often make a whole meal of, they're that good. We've not done dessert at Spoodles very much (because we're always so full from dinner!). Coral Reef's appetizers don't really stand-out in my mind very much, but their desserts are incredible works-of-art. Marrakesh is more about the experience, and the show, and the cuisine; the appetizers and dessert don't stick out in my mind as much as those other aspects.

Kona Cafe and Raglan Road both have wonderful food and are great one credit TS choices. The macadamia mahi mahi is wonderful at Kona as is the coconut chicken. Great appetizers and desserts.

Raglan Road has unique presentations. For instance we ordered a sausage appetizer. The little sausages were on forks which stuck out of the serving plate. I had Kevins Kudos as my entree and it was delicious. My sons cheeseburger looked great. And so many good desserts. Yum.

We enjoy Chefs a lot but actually more so for lunch then dinner.

California Grill is nice but it's 2 TS credits. Gorgeous view, delicious food and great service!

Also enjoyed Les Chefs de France, really enjoyed the ambiance and food is very good!

i decided to add kona after reading menus, reviews and seeing pics. it sounds awesome

another vote for California Grill-if you can be there for wishes. We ate there our last trip-just DH and I for our anniv. It was awesome;we are taking all the kids there in a week-and-a-half-they just have to experience it too!

We tried Chefs de France for the first time in May...Now I can't wait to go back and one of the reasons is just so I can have the salmon tartar appetizer and the AMAZING steak again!!! The ambiance is nice as well!

O'Hana's as it is a different type of dining experience and a nice variety of food or Whispering Canyon -- again for a different type of dining experience and because I just love bbq food :groom:

We decided to make a PS for Chef de France. The menu looks good but we couldn't find any listing for dessert. But from what I hear they are good. Thanks for all the suggestions.
Kamy ;)
