Need new place in epcot to try.

I was looking at Deb's page for the menus. Anybody go Germany or Norway with a 5 year old. It doesn't look like Germany has a kids meal, and I know my 5 year old DD will not eat what's listed on the adult menu.

Also need a new place to go near MK. I've done, the castle, LTT, Tony's, Crystal palace, Chef Mickey and the New Princess dinner at 1900 Park Fare. (OK, I've been there a few times). But I like to try new things and one day will be all MK, so I would like sonething close for a sit down dinner. Any suggestions.

My kids love Biergarten. On our frist trip they were almost 11 and 2 1/2. Last yr they were 4 1/2 and 13. DD ate at a lot of potato dumplings, pretzel bread and roasted chicken. They also have hot dogs (no buns?). The family that was seated with us the first trip let their son (who was about DS's age then, around 10 ) just enjoy the entertainment, then they took him for pizza.
My then 9yr niece also like Beirgarten last yr.

As for Norway ... sorry we did not enjoy the food there at all, and their kids menu is not typical kids menu food. DS's Chicken fingers were highly seasoned and grilled, the potatoes were boiled red skinned potatoes and the meal also came with whole kernel corn. Luckily he liked it, but it was not at all what we expected. In fact DH and I ended up eatign off of DS's plate since we couldn't eat the food on the buffet (everything had a strange taste to it).

I too feel that Biergarten will have plenty to offer your 5 year old, as sha_lyn has indicated. I also feel that Norway probably would not. Many of the buffet items there are cold and are from the 'sea'.....which I find young ones not to be too crazy about (in general that is, there are always exceptions).

As far as near MK, have you ever tried 'Ohana at the Poly? The food is very good and they serve tons of it. In addition, they have activities and songs geared towards kids so your 5 year old might get a kick out of it. FYI.....they serve breakfast and dinner only (no lunch).

My kids have always enjoyed the live entertainment at Biergarten. The foods seem a little more familiar there, as well. We have dined in Norway 3-4 times and my kids have begged to never have to go back.

Have you thought of Coral Reef at the Living Seas? A little pricey but the kids menu is basic and watchin the fish will keep them occupied.

For MK I would suggest Ohana at the Poly a short ride on the monorail or Artist Pt at the Wilderness which is a quick ride on the boat.

Last November we had dinner at Nine Dragons in China. Another very large family (with at least 6 children) sat next to us, and they seemed to have a great time. They didn't appear to have difficulty in ordering. Our experience was excellent both the our dinners and the service-which was fantastic!

In MK have you tried the Plaza Restaurant - or Kona's in the Poly.

Have to say Nine Dragons is the worst place we have ever eaten in Epcot, service was horrible, waiters were so rude, actually rolled their eyes and sighed when we asked for water.

I really enjoyed the Norway buffet, it is quite different, although I hear they may be getting rid of the buffet.

the plaza is a great place to eat! another option near MK is trail's end buffet at fort wilderness. really good food. plus, your daughter might enjoy the petting zoo there and looking aroung the grounds. also, don't forget the wilderness lodge--aaahhh.

I think I better consider cancelling Norway, maybe I can try Germany, Is there anyplace to grab a couple of slices of pizza on the way to Germany?

As far as MK, I currently have O'hanas booked. Plaza rest will be closed when we go in two weeks.

I have O'hanas booked for Breakfast and Dinner on the same day. Is that too much, or should I try Kona Cafe for dinner?

Konas is good and you might consider Whispering Canyon for dinner. It is just a short boat ride from MK. The kids will love it.
