Our family is taking a vacation to Myrtle Beach and staying at the Breakers. Has anyone stayed there? I was wondering if there are some attractions we shouldn't miss. Am also looking for a spa nearby.

Thank you

Breakers is nice and in a good location. Don't miss Ripley's Aquarium. :D

I was at Myrtle Beach in March and really enjoyed it a lot. They have lots of attractions. Broadway on the Beach looked like a fun thing to do.

Drive south down to Murrells Inlet for good seafood. We love the Dockside for outside seating. They have tiki torches and a nice deck under a 700 year old oak tree that just sprawls over the deck. Also Lee's Inlet Kitchen is good, but no outside seating.

I was just in SC yesterday, discussing Myrtle Beach with a local.

From what I gather, stay away from the pier when going in the water. Jellyfish!!!

other than that, I know nothing about Myrtle Beach!

Thank you for all the tips. They really help since we have never been there. My husband will appreciate the golf tip.

I've never stayed at the Breakers, but my parents have a time share on the beach at North Myrtle and we go with them every-other year. We've always had a really good time, and find it very relaxing. Actually we use it as our off-year vacation spot between big run-around-and-see-everything trips to Orlando. I'm not sure about the Breakers' location, but in general North Myrtle is quieter and more family-oriented than Myrtle Beach itself.
