My dh is considering doing a stand-up comedy routine for the talent show on our Dec. trip. He wants to know the following:
1. How long are you given to do your talent. Is there a time limit?
2. What is the crowd -- families? adults? mostly children?
3. Is singing usually the only talent showcased? How odd would it be to have a stand-up routine?

THANKS

I, too, did a stand-up comedy routine in the talent show on the Disney Magic (hey, what better way to spend one's birthday?) on 1/24/03. At the time, though, there were separate talent shows -- one for adults and one for families. The signup sheet did say no comics so I called myself a humorist and showed up at the rehearsal and had no problem clearing my material (it's got to be a clean act and I had to pull my Norwalk material). I only signed up for the adult show, though, and don't know if I could've done it for the family show.

At any rate, it was a lot of fun and I hope I get to do an encore performance on the Westbound Panama Canal cruise. :)

Edited because I forgot to mention that nobody gave me a specific time limit but I only did around 5-7 minutes.

I have a question about this too. I know the family talent show is on the last night, but when it the rehearsal. We will be on the Eastern cruise.

Thanks!
DJ
