Due to the cancelation of a DVC point rental reservation, we are having to quickly make other sleeping arrangements for our week at the World :scared1:

We can only find Coronado Springs Resort in the same price range.

Most of our ADR's were based upon staying at the BWV and the proximity to the resort and EPCOT.

SO, now I'm trying to shift some of our ADR's to be easier for CSR and since we planned those ADR's around the DxDP, I'm not interested in Counter Service.

Any feed back on Maya Grill breakfast and dinner?

Hi,

I had two breakfast at the Maya Grill in January this year ( was at the Coronado springs for 2 nights).

I made ADRs for 730am so I could head to the parks.

There was minimal wait, service was quick , the food was good enough ( the coffee came in a Maya Grill mug) and it filled the spot for breakfast.

Regards

TBS

It has been forever since we ate at Maya Grill, but our breakfast buffet there 15 years ago was good. Not much help, but one wondera how much things might have changed?:confused3

This is 2 year old info but: Breakfast was good, I think it is the same as anywhere else. dinner was fine, nothing bad but not the greatest. We did walk in both times without a problem. (in January)

Hi there...we just ate at Maya Grill for dinner last week! We thought the food was very good. My dad and hubby both had the black bean soup and said it was fantastic. I had the steak tacos and really liked them! I really liked the atmosphere and Hector was a great server. For dessert I had an almond pear tart with ice cream...YUMMO! We also stayed at Coronado and really enjoyed our time there! I would recommend Maya, especially if you are staying there!

It's been a couple of years since we ate at Maya Grill, but have eaten there several times in the past (once for breakfast back when it used to be a buffet and then several times for dinner). All were very good. Breakfast is now al carte, but the buffet was good. For dinner what I can remember us having is a duck taco, crab chalupa, pork empanada, and a seafood skillet for appetizers, then for entrees we've had a rib eye steak, beef tips with mushrooms, a basket that had alot of fried seafood in it (calamari, fish, and shrimp), and a huge trio platter that had fish, ribs, filet, mashed potatoes, and grilled veggies on it. For dessert I remember us having fried ice cream, fried cheesecake (ummm sooo good), tres leches cake, chocolate cake with raspberry filling, flan, and gelato. Anyway, everything was good.

The food has a southwest feel to it, but it's not Mexican like you might be expecting. I still dream about that fried cheesecake--frozen cheesecake wrapped in a flour tortilla, then quickly deep fried golden brown so it's really hot and crispy on the outside and cold in the inside, then it was covered in fresh strawberries, strawberry sauce, and sprinkled with powdered sugar and a little cinnamon.:cloud9: I haven't seen it on the menu the last few times I've stayed at CSR, but keep hoping.

We ate at the Maya Grill a couple of times this past June. We went once for breakfast and my hubby had the pancakes (the portion was huge but he said they were good) and I had the eggs, potato and meat plate which was very good. It tasted fresh and the bacon wasnt like the normal Disney floppy bacon. The tea there was also the best tea I've ever had on site. I dont drink coffee so I cant comment on that. There wasnt any wait for just a walkup and it was not crowded at all. In fact I think there were only a couple other people in the restaurant.

We also had dinner there a couple of times. Our servers were good both times. The food was excellent. We tried the pork empanadas, the steak, the kobe beef burger (the best restaurant burger I've EVER had) and the chicken wings appetizer. I will say that the one time there were kids running around but that wasnt the restaurants fault, it was the parents. They also had a lovely musician playing some romantic music one of the two times we were there. The atmosphere is also very romantic for a nice dinner.

Reading these reviews is making me both so excited :yay: for our stay at CSR in Nov and very HUNGRY!! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

First of all, let me just say that CSR is a beautiful resort; we've stayed there twice and loved it. The pool is great and the rooms are beautiful. However, we had dinner at Maya Grill in February and it was truly terrible. Way, way, way overpriced and the food was horrendous. One of the worst meals I've had anywhere. Poor service and sub par food. Deluxe plan or not, you'd be better off eating at Pepper Market.
