Need last minute lunch ADR? Chef Mickey's LUNCH

From Touringplans.com News:

Due to extremely high demand during this period, Chef Mickey's restaraunt at the Contemporary Resort will be offering lunch August 13th to September 30th, 2006. Reservations are strongly recommended by calling 407-WDW-DINE (407-939-3463).

Hopefully that might help some folks out, it was announced today and I didn't see anyone post it yet.

Unfortunately I have no idea, that's all the info I have. I don't even know if there will be characters or anything.

I have an ADR for Chef Mickey's lunch and they said that there WILL BE characters, but the food will be "lighter" than dinner, but couldn't elaborate. I don't care, I got Chef Mickey's!!

Okay, just got off the phone with them. Hours are 12:30 to 2:50 and the menu is:

salad bar
deli bar
build a sandwich bar
chipotle chicken
Texas barbecue pork ribs
some sort of salmon entree
frajitas
vegetable lasagna
spoon bread
baked beans
vegetable medley
corn

And there WILL be characters. Hope that helps!

Wow! I hope they decide to extend lunch into October. Probably not but it would be great!

Back to say - it says "Aug 13 - Sept 30" in one place (in the Recent News page at TouringPlans.com) and "Aug 13 - Sept 4" in another! Hmmmm.
