After reading several other posts I'm jumping on the "crowd paranoia" for December! We will be there Dec.1-8.

Tentative agenda looks like this:
arrive Friday afternoon--dinner in EPCOT with Candlelight Processional (unless snowstorm is predicted in Northeast in which case I will cancel my reservations 48 hrs ahead!!)
Sat--AK (friends arriving late afternoon and since they dislike animals don't care to go to AK!!)
Sun--MK
Mon--Backstage Tour 8:45-4:00
MVMCP
Tues--Epcot
Chef Mickeys 5:40
Wed--Downtown Disney (and shopping!!!)
Cirque du Soleil 6 pm
Thurs--MGM

What would you add? What would you change? Our friends hate structure and it was hard enough tying them down to this schedule--I would like a few dinner reservations in there..... (we are 4 adults...no kids, well, we have kids and grandkids but we are leaving them home!!!)

Thanks to all responders!!

I like flexability also, but I also know the improtance of ADR's :rolleyes1 . I've eaten at places I really didn't want to because of no ADR's  . Looks like you have a very full schedule, are you staying on property? If you are staying at the Contemporary or a monorail resort I can understand your reservations for Chef Mickey's on Tuesday, if not then I would make them for a day you are in the Magic Kingdom (it's an easy monorail hop) :bounce: . If you did it because you didn't want to eat in Epcot again then maybe you could go right outside Epcot (through the International Gateway) and eat at Flying Fish/Spoodles/Yachtsman ect.. It's an easy walk. Where is the Backstage Tour on Monday (which park?). If it's in the MK, then I would have dinner in the MK that night and go to the MVMCP after that. The only other thing I would add is that if you have a car :car: on the day you go to Cirque du Soleil (lucky you :shamrock: , I always wanted to see that!), then I would bring it because you will have all those packages (if you shop like I do :jester: ) to lug around. OK, I just saw your siggy and saw that you were staying at the Poly (nice place), so with that I will say if you get a chance go to the Kona Cafe for breakfast and try the tonga toast  (haven't tried it yet, but have heard so many good things about it, I'm trying it in November :yay: ) and if you like coffee, the kona coffee there is supposed to also be very good!! BTW Happy Anniversary  !!

The only thing I would say is that I have heard the backstage magic tour includes a lot of walking... and then you are headed to MVMCP which could be a very late night. Have you booked the tour yet or could you switch it to another day? If not I'd be really tempted to switch AK and MK so at least you have an evening off after AK on the Sunday... or do DTD on Wednesday so you can sleep in late to recover and save Epcot for Thursday.

JMHO - have a fun trip :)

Do you have your "Cirque Du Soleil" tickets already? They are changing the seating categorys and pricing as 10/1. We are booked for category #1 in section 103 for 10/20. Those seats are now called " front and center" and are $15 more per seat.

Thanks for the inputs! Yes we are staying at the Polynesian so have easier access. Except the last night we are with our friends at Pop Century and they will have a car (thought MGM might be easier and we want to tour some of the other resorts during the day.) Backstage tour is starting at Epcot. Hubby and I usually walk our tails off for every vacation we do anyway! I thought MCMCP started at 7 but have heard mention that they let people in the park at 4?

We will be renting a car on Friday after check out ( I ask lots of questions about that later on another post!!!...) as we will be driving to Tampa. Figured that morning I could squeeze in the "one more thing" I hadn't done!!!

Did get the Cirque tickets---section 104 back row. We recently saw "Mystere" in Vegas and decided that we didn't want to be as 'front and center' this time. I don't really think there can be a bad seat in a Cirque theater!!

I would not go to MK on Sunday. I probably would actually wait and do MK last since this is my favorite park. If you have children, this is also good to do last since its mostly geared towards children. Plus it may be too crowded on a weekend day. I would also be careful with Monday. If there is a lot of walking on the tour and then you'll be going to mvmcp, you'll be worn out. Make sure there is time for a nap in between. Other than that, it should be ok.

If you will be at Pop Century Thursday night then when you go to DTD have the packages delivered to your friends there, you don't have to carry them except from the gift shop to your room or car but if you are checking out the day after the purchases are made you can't get them delivered but since your friends are in the same hotel until Friday they can have them delivered.

MK will be more crowded on Sunday than most any other day if for nothing else than the evening EMH that day and that it is one of the only 3 days that week showing Spectromagic. But unless you have parkhoppers and went to MK on Saturday evening there isn't another day you could see Spectromagic. Just make sure you do the big rides early and utilize FP and you should be fine.
