Need info on Yak & Yeti CS

Since FLame Tree wil be closed for our trip. We our trying to find another CS restaurant in AK. My DH would like to try Yak&Yeti. I was wondering if anyone has eaten there and liked it.

I looked at the menus on allears and saw they had an Asian Chicken sandwich and also Mandarain Chicken Salad. Does anyone have pictures of these items. Also has anyone tried either of these items. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated.

DH and I had lunch at Yak & Yeti CS last December and found it pretty good. I know we shared the egg rolls (unusually tasty) and I had the Asian Chicken Salad (which I liked a lot). Can't remember what DH had, but we were pleased overall.

The Yak & Yeti CS is actually one of our favorite places to eat @ AK. My DS 14 and DS 16 love it as well.

My son loves the chicken fried rice.

Believe it or not, I used one of our many snack credit to get the chicken fried rice. It was pretty good and big(maybe a pint?) My DH had the honey chicken. He liked it but wished he had asked less sauce in the chicken. The other CS place we love is Pizzafari. The restaurant is air-conditioned. Need I say more.

Does the honey chicken have breading on it? If so, is there any meat dish that doesn't have breading?

One thing to keep in mind (looks like you will be there around the same time we will) is that there is no AC...It is all outdoor seating with very few shaded tables. Not fun dining in the heat of Aug...

Yes, the honey chicken has breading on it. I don't remember their menu exactly, but I'm pretty sure there is a meat dish that does not have breading available there.

Sorry, no photos' but I had the Mandarin Chicken salad last week. The chicken was not breaded. It was a good CS meal. My daughter had the Fried Rice and enjoyed it too. It was very Hot sitting outside though. My DN and his GF went to Pizzafari and had a good meal in the AC.

I ate there once, found it boring, never went back.

There are reports that the CS doesn't serve egg rolls anymore.

That chicken sandwich doesn't look very Asian. It also looks like there is mayonnaise in it, ew.

Prior posts are correct on this restaurant, all seating is outdoors.

We had a CS meal there in May and LOVED it..I had the sweet n sour Chicken and it was great !!! They gave me more than I could actually eat! We always have one of our TS meals there as well because that menu and food are awesome !!!
