Well first of all Hi, and thanks for taking the time to click my thread =) I am a student from Oklahoma State University that is planning to attend the WDW CP in the Summer of '07. I have been over the buisness and technichality sides of the CP more than a few times. What I am seeking now is a chance to get a real life feel for the program, try to find out about the good the bad and even sadleythe possiblity of the ugly. I really would like any information that you can sling my way. Down to what positions you really enjoyed being as a cast memeber at and what positions where not so hot, to what you liked about living in Orlando. Honeslty if you would like to just email me your entire life story to help describe and accomidate your information would be fine by me =). Well i do believe that is it for now, thanks again and hope to hear from you!

Hello Floaton

I did the college program WOAH back in 1998 and it was the best experience of my life...though trying at times. I worked ticketing at the magic kingdom and as I said had a great experience making special moments for both myself and guests. I participated in The Give Kids The World program which was awesome sad sometimes well most of the time but such a fulfilling experience. I made friends that are still friends today....were at my wedding and I was at theirs....that part is amazing! Friends FOREVER. It was alittle hard being away from family and friends for holidays etc but well worth it. We partied like rockstars and played in the parks on our days off. THe pay stinks but as I said the experience is priceless. The living situation can be a bit interesting as you might live with people that come from very different walks of life but you'll survive its called Diversity training. :lmao: The courses at Disney University were great too....if you have an actual interest in how disney does what they do :cheer2: Hope this gives you something to look forward to and be excited about! The college program gives you a look at the real world through magic glasses :rotfl:

Thanks you so much for the reply I truly appreciate your time and thoughtfulness!

Hi floaton. I did the CP in Spring 2005 doing Fantasyland merchandise, and I am currently on Fall Advantage 2006 as a character attendant. I LOVED doing the CPs. I had (and am having) the time of my life. I am planning on going full-time after I graduate in entertainment at Disney. I highly recommend doing the CP and I know you will enjoy it.

Please be sure to check out the College Program thread we have on the top. A lot of questions have been asked and answered. If you have any specific questions, go ahead and post to that thread.

my best advice on the college program is that if you do it, come in with a positive attitude no matter where you are placed at for work and at where you live. this is my second program, the first one wasn't so great (i left early because i was unhappy by the end)- but i really wasn't happy when it started i had crappy roommates, the apartment wasn't up to my standards and i was working Quick Service F&B at a resort (it would have been ok if it was at a park)- so i had negative feelings from the get go. but this time i came in with a really positive attitude and so far things are going great (i don't want to jinks myself by saying they're wonderful)
how ever much you put into the program by working hard, thinking positive and hanging out with people, that's how much (or more) that you'll get back.
