Need info on silver plan----Can I "spend" my wishes on a friend?

Just wondering if I can "treat" a friend to dinner by using one of my wishes?

They told me on the phone that I could "not" spend our wishes on any one else. But.....when we got there they only asked for 1 resort ID card, and took the wishes off of that. Our DD met us at the parks, and wasn't on our silver package. We were able to charge a couple of dinners for her on our package. I don't see where the major problem is .... we are paying no matter who we use the wishes on. I never had a problem...
