need info on Mickeys Backyard BBQ

We went to it in the summer of 2003 - never again. It was expensive and IMHO run very poorly. I would rather have spent the money on the Hoop de doo or a nice character meal.

Here can give you some great information on Mickey's BBQ. :sunny: :flower:

We did it in September '02 and I'll add my own "never again."

I won't even go into too many details. Suffice it to say that if you like country music, research further--you may find it's for you. If you do not like country music, don't give it another thought. They have a live band playing nearly the whole time with a lot of singing and dancing.

I'm not a big fan of country, but we booked it mainly for DW who is a fan. She didn't even care for it and we couldn't wait to leave. It's memorable simply because our 1.5 yo son ate his first good meal of the trip there (corn on the cob.) But it was way overpriced for the $160 it cost our group of 5.

One of the few major disappointments we've had on a Disney trip.

We went in April 2004, and loved it. We are not huge country music fans, but we do not dislike it either. The food was very good, and when we attended it was well organized. I would do it again in a heartbeat. Our party had people ages 2-70, and everyone had a good time. My son even got to dance with Mickey and Minnie, and it was the highlight of his trip. It does end before the movie starts.
