We are going on the Disney Wonder in Aug.I am looking for info on the Dolphin encounter in Nassau, Has anyone done this?? Also what did it cost? Did you think it is worth the money? Should I book this thru DCL... THANKS......

We did the Blue Lagoon Dolphin Encounter this past March when we stayed in Nassau - it was the most enjoyable dolphin encounters we experienced!
I believe the cost was $85/pp (I believe children under 3 are free). For the $85 you get to dance, kiss, hug, rub (the tummy & back) , feed him fish and feel his teeth. Pictures are taken when you dance and kiss the dolphin as well as a group or individual photo at the start. They also video tape.
They also offer a dolphin swim. This I think is $105/pp and you get to actually do the foot push and hold his fins while he swims around. You have to be comfortable with the water/swimming.
We have done the dopphin encounters in Conzumel (while on our cruise) and in Cancun (Isla Mujares) and nothing compares to the Blue Lagoon in Nassau.
You can do it individually (they have a web site- you will need to book way ahead). When you get off the ship they offer ferries to Paradise Island ($3/pp each way). The ferries are right in front of the staw market & senior frogs. They run every half hour. Otherwise you can book through DCL.

I completely agree with Jandreas. The blue lagoon dolphin encounter was certainly a highlight of our Wonder cruise this past February. Our boys absolutely loved it and still talk about it. My husband and I did the one in Cozumel last November, and it wasn't half as good. Have fun!
