Need info on closing a thread

I have never done it but I have a thread that is no longer applicable and need to close. I was told to edit the title and put CLOSED as the first word, but I cannot figure out how to do that. Can someone tell me how?

Go to the first post in the thread and clips edit. You can change the title from there. Another thing you can do is click the triangle with the exclamation point on the first post. That will report it to a moderator and you can write a comment saying why you want it removed.

I am assuming you are referring to a Rent/Trade board thread.

To alert a R/T mod to close the thread, go to the first post in the thread and click on EDIT, once that page loads click on GO ADVANCED...that will allow you to edit the title and change the first word to CLOSED.
