Need Info - Hanks Rent n Return Fishing Trips at OKW

Just rec'd my Vacation Magic and read the following: Hanks Rent N REturn offers a fishing cruise that travels over to waterways of Disney's Port Orleans-Riverside. You'll fish for an hour and then enjoy lunch on the way back. All guests, age 5 and up are welcome. $18 for members, $20 for non-members.

My husband is an avid fisherman and always fishes at WDW. I thought we knew about all fishing excursions, etc. at WDW but I have never heard of one leaving from OKW. Anyone with any info, please post or email me at newt1912@aol.com. Is this something new? If not, has anyone ever taken the fishing cruise? If so, what do you catch? Is it seasonal? Has anyone ever done it during the winter months? Us northerns never think it's too cold to fish while in FL but the fishing guides have thin blood and don't like to go out when it's cold (cold to them).

Any info would be appreciated. The cost is great compared to the $160 bass fishing excursions. The more fishing my husband can do while in WDW, the more trips he will want to take.

One of our guests did this in January. If you have real fishermen in your family, they wont think much of it, but if they are neophites, they might like it. Can't remember what they caught, but it is catch and release.

Fishing at DisneyWorld is quite good. I would recomend going to FW and fishing in the canals. There is also an area in PO for kids to fish I believe.
