My daughter does like pizza and pasta, however, in looking over the menus, there isn't much else for her to eat. She is a pretty healthy eater and has never had hot dogs, chicken nuggets (nor does she often eat chicken at all), does not like burgers or mac n' cheese or pb &j.
I've looked over the menus on allears.net, but thought you all would probably be more helpful. Where have you found "different" foods at CS for kids?

I want to know this too and add a question - can anyone describe the chicken nuggets? My older DD only likes real chicken strips and does not like processed chicken. She refuses to even consider it. Are the chicken nuggets processed?

Also is chicken soup available for kids meals? My kids LOVE soup.

Hi!
OK...so before I go too far, I should recommend the food courts at the value resorts for ideas. They have brilliant pictures and is very much like the food court in a mall, as far as selection and variety go.

That being said, I highly recommend the counter service at Wolfgang Puck Express at Downtown Disney (near the Earl of Sandwich, not to be confused with Wolfgang Puck's Cafe). They have great sandwiches and salads. For the kids, they have great quesadillas, linguini, or real chicken tenders or pizza. All were well-received by my family members.

Another that had real chicken tenders was at the Electric Umbrella Restaurant at Epcot. (for MyTwoPrincesses)

As far as different fare, here are my recommendations, based solely on my personal experience (one of my teen sisters is a health-conscious vegetarian):

MK- Columbia Harbour House in Liberty Square- they have a great salad (with chicken that is easily removed)...or mac and cheese. BUT it comes with the choice of 2 between: grapes, carrots, or applesauce and a drink.

Pinocchio Village Haus- (but usually really crowded with nowhere to sit) thay have a turkey pinwheel that was amazing-looking.

Tomorrowland Terrace Noodle Station- the beef and noodle bowl is a nice change from the usual.

Epcot- Sunshine Seasons has a GREAT food court's worth of options. Usually, the CM's will let you know what can be considered a "child's plate." They have GREAT soup here. (and sweet and sour chicken, etc.)

All of the CS's in the World Showcase have offerings that are non-traditional. (e.g. the Lotus Blossom Cafe offers a Beijing BBQ Drumstick).

HS- The ABC Commissary has a ham and cheese wrap (and AMAZING options for adults!).

The pizzas at Toy Story Pizza Planet are very lovely and are served with a fresh little garden salad.

AK- Yak & Yeti offers a pork eggroll (chicken bites or a cheeseburger as well).
Pizzafari offers pizza, as the name kinda hints at. :)

Most of the time with soups, they are considered a side item or an option for an adult or a "snack." Asking if you can use a snack when there is a soup option might be a way of feeding your child (and supplementing with the parts of the child's menu option extras like the carrots, grapes, and/or applesauce). Just an idea.

My family is FULL of very particular tastes (some would label them as "picky"). *giggle* We've found little gems all over the parks, and I hope that I could at least offer some hope for your little one.

Good luck and bon appetit! :flower3:

If I remember correctly, the chix nuggets at Columbia Harbour House at MK were not processed but rather nugget pieces of breast meat.

My daughter liked the salad with grilled chicken at Pecos Bill Cafe in the Magic Kingdom. They have a fixins bar there so she was able to add a few things to the salad. She requested to eat there more then once!

Our absolute favorite is Wolfgang Puck in the marketplace. She really enjoyed the pasta and sauce with frozen yogurt for dessert. She also enjoyed the selections of iced teas!
