Need Humble opinions please

recently offerd a new job that would allow me to still take off time to goto wdw in december...yay!!!!

the sanerio is that when i was interviewing for the position i heard from peeps that work there that the shifts they were hiring for was tues-saturday either 9-530 or 3pm-11pm or same hours but sunday -- thursday...

Now when i was in the interview they asked me to fill out a paper asking which hours i wanted to work one being monday - friday
so I listed this mon-friday 9-530 as my 1st chioce thinking that there was no way i would get it cause there are people working there who have been there for upwards of 20 years who are working a weekend day as well as some night....>So im now thinking is this mon- friday they are offering me too good to be true....seeing that i always think so negatively or do they want me that bad which has never ever happened in my life.
Im thinkin that they are just telling me this to get my butt in there
and then go changing all the hours around and stufff.....

Or it could be a very positive thing that they saw what i have to offer and are willing to give me the shift I want to get me in there.....


what do u all think?

You sound like me, if its sounds to good to be true, there has to be a catch. BUT, maybe this time, there is not catch. Can you call them up and ask them. This way it'll put your mind at ease. And you know, some people don't mind working on the weekends/night. So maybe the ones there that are doing it don't want to work 9-5:30. Am I making sense? Anyway, good luck and congrats on your new job.

Ask what shift you would be working... email someone maybe, get it in writing

I started a job here back in March. Was told during the interview that we would be working m-f and possibly in a year one out of the group would switch to sats. asked about it as i turned down jobs because of that, i wanted m-f. was told training was two weeks in GA after two weeks in the IN office. Started that monday, they said that after week get back from GA we would all be doing sat. and no one would have sun/mon off. was also told that we were going to GA in two weeks for 3 weeks. i had my future MIL coming the weekend that i was supposed to be in GA with that senerio... not a happy camper. I felt blindsided, like they said all that to get me in the door. I quit the following monday.

Just be aware that it can happen... even the large and smaller companies.... the ones you think are good. it's just bad judgement of a small group of people.. my boss and HR was ticked when i did the exit interview....
