Need HSM birthday party ideas!

My kids are having a joint party in 4 weeks. They will be 6 and 8 and their bdays are a week apart. We booked a local gym for the party and there is lots for them to do. I ordered "generic" invitations with polka dots because they had not decided on a theme and it is a boy and a girl.

They have now decided on a HSM theme. I am not ordering new invites, though, but I do need ideas for a cake and treat bags. DS and DD also want me to make them shirts for the party (I always make or buy them an outfit that goes with the theme of the party). I was thinking of doing something for DD with "Fabulous" as this is her favorite song and she loves Sharpay and something with "I Don't Dance" for DS since we have a running joke about how badly DS dances!

Any ideas? Has anyone else done a HSM party? What kind of trinkets did you put in the treat bags?

I'll try to think of a few ideas for you.

Here's one, although it's not very good. If you had 2 separate cakes, on your son's, you could have it be a basketball. And then on the basketball have them put something like "Happy Birthday Wildcat!" or maybe like a cake version of a Wildcat basketball uniform with his name on the back of it and his favorite number"

Those are the only ones I have for yo right now.

Play song 11 on the 2nd soundtrack and make it a singalong... see if the kids know it and can keep up. Took me 25 listens, but I finally know the fish prince's name... huma huma... not going to type it but it's the cutest song ever!

My 6 year old wanted a HSM party this year. We had a bakery do the cake with HSM on it they even used sugar to make it sparkle. Noone had HSM stuff in the party store - came in the week after. We did order plates and napkins on line and the cutest thing was a banner with HSM stuff on it that said Happy Birthday Caroline that we hung up and all her friends signed. It is now hanging in her room. I think it was Party Express but not sure. Disney did have HSM shirts that you could customize and order on-line and we had one done with the number 6 for her birthday on the back.

Oriental Trading has some HSM party things, including filled gift bags.

Try Birthday Express or Birthday in a Box. There are party packages that come with already filled 'goody boxes'. They are cute and work with any kids. And i think on Birthday Express they have t-shirts or something. I have used both before and they are great. Check it out!
