Hi DISers -
I need some hotel recommendations for our May 2009 trip. We will be in Orlando for 2 weeks (spending week 2 at Animal Kingdom Lodge). Besides Disney properties, I am looking for suggestions for places in the Sea World to Universal area for at least 3 night if not 6 for the first week. We will be spending a day each at IOA,US,and SW. It is myself, DH and DD 5yo. Looking for a place that is kid freindly, nice pool area (or great pool area) - musts. Would like also the following - breakfast included, no parking fee and a suite set up. Hoping to find something in the $100-120 price range per nt. Thanks.

Last October we stayed at the Marriott Residence Inn, SeaWorld and could not fault it.

We had a king suite - 2 king size beds in a nice, large room, kitchenette which was fully equipped with plates, cutlery, glasses, cooking utensils and pots and pans, full sized fridge/freezer, microwave.

The pool was a good size with inflatable toys for the kids. Our room overlooked the pool which was nice.

The restaurant served free hot and cold breakfast each morning, and there was a small cafe serving burgers, sandwiches, fries, drinks plus a pizza place near the pool.

If we ever need a hotel in Orlando again, we would definitely use this one:thumbsup2

We paid around £45 ($90) a night.

The Renaissance is nice, and would be a great choice. I would also recommend the Crowne Plaza Universal, the Spring Hill Suites on Universal Blvd (which runs parallel to Int'l Drive), and the Fairfield Inn in Canada Ave (right off Int'l Drive). Those should all hit right in your price range. Hope that helps!

I second the Fairfield Inn on Canada Avenue was excellent hotel and excellent free breakfeast great location for US and sea World.

We stayed at the Sheraton Studio City. I got it on Hotwire for $52/night. Very nice hotel and its half a mile from IOA. In fact, if you get a room on the top floor you can see the park from there. I limited my search to the Univeral area and chose a 3*.
