Need hotel in walking distance to DTD.

My DH is going down for business in Tampa but will return to fly out of MCO. He needs a hotel for one night and I thought it would be nice to be able to walk over to DTD. What nice hotels are in a short walking distance to Downtown Disney?

Within walking distance you would have to stay on Hotel Plaza Blvd. Some of those locations are going to be closer than others ( from about 2 blocks to 6 blocks )

I know the following are on this street,but I know I probably missed a few:

Doubletree Guest Suites
Courtyard
Best Western
Hilton
Grovesnor Hotel ( this name may have changed - I kind of remember a new hotel called Soliel )

I think a lot depends on what you consider "walkable." While many are close in theory you could be walking a fair distance on unfriendly walking paths. Why do you want to be walkable to DTD?

We stayed at the Hilton and it was an easy walk across the street to DTD. We also stayed one night at the Royal Plaza this past Feb. and they had a shared bus with the other DT hotels that ran every 20 minutes. Walking from the Hilton was easier!

I agree with the PP. The Hilton is directly across the street from DTD, and is a very easy walk. We stayed there last summer and really liked it.

The Regal Sun is the closest of the DTD hotels to DTD. It is a nice hotel. We stayed there in March and were very satisfied.
