Truly, how is the transportation at CSR?? This is something key for us now that we have chosen CSR for our resort. I've read some reviews saying it is good and some saying, not so good. I know with it being a convention hotel, that they might focus less on transportation to the parks because convention people aren't really there for touring the parks, etc and I've heard some things about the golf carts really being a nuisance and all. Can anyone provide some insight on transportation, because if it isn't reliable, then we might have to perhaps pick a different resort. THANKS SO MUCH! I just want to be sure because I hear good things about transportation at POFQ for a moderate being VERY good so just want to compare. THANKS AGAIN:hippie:

Just trying to get some feedback as I've read some rocky reports of not so great bus transportation and after we decided to do CSR, this kind of concerns me. Any feedback would be helpful-THANKS!

CSR has terrific transportation. It doesn't share with any other resort (like POR / POFQ) and it only has 4 bus stops within the resort (vs 7 at CBR). And since CSR is centrally located, you'll have a quick ride to all the parks. And being a convention resort, the buses seem less crowded because guests are busy with their conventions.

The transportation at CSR was decent (we did have to wait for buses now and then but we have had this experience at other resorts as well)but after all of the good reports I have to say I was not so fond of the resort. We were soooooo far away from the main building (building 7 I believe). I guess it is the price of a larger convention resorts. Also I had read the conventioners did not get in the way however it was mobbed with conventioners in early Dec and we could barely get a seat at pepper market or walk through the lobby. Also in comparison to the other resorts we have stayed at (and we have stayed at many different Disney resorts from deluxe to value) we found the pepper market to be more expensive but it did have a nice variety. There are good points like the resort is beautiful and well themed, fairly good transportation and different style of cs eating. That said we will most likely never stay there again we much perfer POR/POFQ. We could have just been there at a bad time but it was just a bad first impression. Good luck with your choice.

Hi
My DH and I were at CSR in December. The bus service to the parks was the best we've ever had!! The busses weren't crowded at all. One time, we were the only ones on the bus. Also, we only had to wait about 5 to 10 minutes for busses to the parks. The only negative for me with CSR is that it's so huge and I thought there would be golf carts going around to take you to where you'd want to go, but we hardly ever saw any, and when we did, they went by so fast and did not offer to pick you up. My DD and DGD (5) are staying at POFQ in August. I just think we'd like to try a smaller resort, with a lot less walking. After being in the park all day, I just can't do all that walking. Good luck on your decision and have a great trip.:)

Yeah I think that was a bbig turnoff for us as well. after a full day in the parks your exhausted and if you take the bus to your room you do not want to walk back to refill your mug with water so we spent alot of money on bottled water which we usually skip. Also I had an event to go to and had to wear heels. needless to say that was not fun walking back and forth from building 7 to the main building because we always needed to stop there.

It does have a wonderful pool and nicely manicured grounds.

We've stayed at CSR twice and both times the buses were great. We never waited more than 5 minutes for a bus at the resort or at any of the parks. Once we actually had 2 buses at the bus stop going to the same park. Just one of the many things we love about CSR...:goodvibes

Same experience for us. Nine trips and its always great! :thumbsup2

My family and I were happy with the bus transportation at CSR. On two different occassions during our stay the bus drivers actually brought us to our dinner reservations on the way to and from the parks (CM on the way to MK, and Boma after picking us up at AK). We had 21 in our grand gathering, and they were very accomodating. The driver asked the other riders (just one other couple) if they minded if he stopped at CR to drop us off for our dinner reservation, and they didn't mind at all and were very gracious about it. We were pleasantly surprised by the drivers , even stopping to wait for my DH &DD to run to meet us at the stop one day before leaving the resort!

The bus serv ce at CSR is the best of all the resorts I've stayed at.. When I was there in December I can't tell you how many times I was the only one on the bus (early riser). After MVMCP one night the bus lines were 50 people deep on all the queue there were 5 of us in line for the CSR bus. Cant tell you how many people commented .
Hey we should of stayed there!
You have made an excellent choice in CSR I only wish I booked it for my next trip!

What about all the golf carts that go around the walkways and such? I've heard bad comments about the golf carts zooming by the walkways and not stopping for anyone to take them to and from, etc. What exactly are the carts used for at CSR? Sorry for all the questions:goodvibes THANKS:thumbsup2

Ya they never stop to pick you up forget that..they are maily used to pull dolleys with clean linens and such around the resort (we saw one come loose my last trip and hit a bush :rotfl:) and for transfering luggage. I did get a ride my last day there to bring my luggage to bell services.... Good Luck:goodvibes
