I need to book Aug 17 for next christmas..I am trying to decide between the Presidental Suites at one of 3 resorts...ALK, Boardwalk and WL...Pro's and Con's of each please...:confused3

BW or WL (I'd prefer BW)

Why? BW gives you better access to restaurants-those @ BW, BC, YC and an easy walk to World Showcase for even more (I don't personally think much of DHS as a dining solution), nice pool, and easy park access to 2 parks.

WL I think has a nicer pool area and may be a little quieter and still has non-bus transportation to at least one park.

AKL is a very nice resort, but food choices are limited and, if using Disney transport, limited to bus.

I haven't stayed at any of the presidential suites., But I'll throw in my 2 cents. If your party is planning to spend the bulk of their time at Epcot, then the resorts at the Boardwalk maybe the way to go. You can easily walk over. Lots of dining options at both Epcot and the Boardwalk area.

Personally I prefer AKL over WL, but that is me. Both WL and AKL were built by the same architect. WL has the boat that goes over to MK - which many folks mention. I think that AKL is a very special resort and feels secluded after a long day at the parks. I also love watching the animals plus the resort has beautiful, museum quality artwork located through-out. Dining options there are just as good, if not better than MK since you have Boma (which is buffet style), Sanaa, Jiko's (more expensive) and counter service Mara. at AKL you are getting 2 resorts; Jambo and Kidani and you can use the facilities at both. I do remember seeing someone post pictures of the AKL presidential suite and it was lovely. If I can find, I'll come back and post the link. If you think your party would like to "be on safari" for Christmas then go with AKL. If you think your party would prefer proximity to Epcot - then choose the Boardwalk. Each resort does decorate for Christmas, and WL will feel the most "Christmas" like since it is a mountain theme. Hope this helps you to make your choice. Happy planning!
