I'm usually pretty decisive, but I need some help with this one. Right now I have a 7 day ressie for ASMu for 6/29 - 7/6 for $70/nt with the AP rate. DH would really like to stay at Caribean Beach and with the new codes I may be able to get it $94/nt. My question is: Is it worth the additional $24/nt (total difference with tax =$182)?

Specifically are the room sizes substantially different?
What is the pool like?
How's the food court?

Overall, is it worth the difference?

BTW, we have stayed at All Stars before so we know how small the rooms are. There are 4 of us, me, DH, DD-10 and DD-2. We haven't stayed at CB before though. Also, I have all mechanisms for discount except for AAA.

Any and all opinions welcome. Thanks.

cbr is one of my favorite resorts! Maybe you could check if there is any large tour groups at allstars when you ressies's are for. It is a nice resort but its not a moderate. cbr has 7 pools, 1 large and a quiet pool at each village. I feel it is definately worth the money, if you can swing it! But don't wait to long-- those discounts are really going fast, from the sound of it.

I think CBR is nicer than All-stars. The rooms are a little bigger - 2 sinks instead of just one, bigger dresser, just a little nicer overall.

There is a theme pool in the center of the resort with quiet pools at each village (as Humprey mentioned). There is a beach. There is also a marina and bike rentals (neither at AS). There is a food court (which was good last time I was there) and a full service dinner restaurant.

If you can swing it, I would stay at CBR.

Maybe viewing some of the following webpages will help. These webpages are from Dreams Unlimited Travel's "Around The World In 30 Days Tour" from a year or two ago.

Dreams Unlimited Travel's "All Star Sports" Webpage
Dreams Unlimited Travel's "All Star Movies" Webpage
Dreams Unlimited Travel's "All Star Music" Webpage

Dreams Unlimited Travel's "Caribbean Beach Resort" Webpage

I haven't stayed at the All Stars yet (hope to soon), but did just have my first stay at the CBR over the Christmas holidays (really enjoyed this resort). Maybe viewing those webpages will give you some idea as to what to do. Don't forget to check out the streaming video of those resorts (found on the left-hand side of the webpages).

Definitely worth it!!:D
You are going at one of the busier times of year and just having the option of quiet pools vs main pool at CBR is a huge plus!!
With the 2yo it will be nice to be able to spend some time just at the quiet pool.
The rooms are bigger, and it will be much quieter if the 2yo needs a nap!! or even just some quiet time.
The All Stars are typically VERY crowded at this time of year.
It would be a no-brainer for me.....I know that the $184 can be like 2 days of meals......but I need my sanity.
The food court is very nice at CBR. You also have a sit-down restaurant if you would like to have a nicer meal for one night.
CBR also has the beaches!! Fun for the kids to play in the sand and for you to relax.
You can also rent bikes or boats at CBR.....All Stars has none of this.

I say definitely go for CBR!!:D
