Me and my DH are trying to figure out when is a better time to go Sept. or Oct. also where to stay. We will have our 4dd and 1dd. It is my first trip to the world:banana: My dh has stayed at the Poly when he was a kid but it is out of our price range. Looking at the Mod. resorts. I would like a resort that is fun for my kids. THanks!

September is warmer, but it is also the value season and, in the past, free dining has been offered. October is a bit cooler, but it is regular season and is a little more expensive. Does that help?

As far as resorts, have you looked at Wilderness Lodge (WL)? It is a less expensive deluxe with great proximity to MK.

I bet it would be a lot slower in mid September vs. going in October. Tons of schools take fall breaks in October, bringing more families to WDW. Take advantage of not having to pull your kids out of school, while you can :) Are you for sure doing a Moderate? I have stayed at all except for POFQ. My favorite of the mods is POR. CSR has the best pool area of the mods, in my opinion. With that being said, if you are willing to go Value, your kids would probably think POP and All Star Movies are cool :)

September will have lighter crowds and is value season so it is less expensive. However it can be VERY hot. With a little one you might want to try October. We took dd at age 1 in December and in September when she was almost 2.....we carried her so much when she was 1 that I can't imagine doing that in September when it's so so hot. By almost 2 though she was more mobile and we didn't carry her as much it seemed so wasn't as big of a deal. I like September best - but that is just something to think about. As far as resorts I think once you get away from the monorail resorts it's 6 one way half a dozen the other between the rest. While I can't afford a monorail resort I can definitely see the advantage. However having stayed moderate and value we always do value. I just don't see the "value" between a value and moderate being equal to the "price" between the two. But again - only my $0.02!!

Hi! We were there last September. The parks had no crowds at all!!! It was great. It was hot but nothing umbarable. We stayed at the ASMv and my kids (DS7 e DD3) loved it. I think they prefer to stay at the Value bacause of the giant Buzz and Woody. Nevertheless I´m sure you will have a wonderful time whenever you decide to go.

I would say September,(October has MNSSHP so it brings more crowds) it will still be hot, but just remember hats, glasses, sunscreen and LOTS of water.
My favorite Moderate was the Port Orleans French Quarter, it is a smaller resort...so less people in pool, at the food court....The pool was great, my kids has a great time.
If you want to do a value the AS movies or Music was good when we stayed there years a go...the only thing i noticed while staying at a value, was that the busses were always so crowded and the so were the food courts...
Good luck and have a great trip wherever you decide to go!!!

I have to agree that the food court specially in the morning is pretty crowded.
