I am currently scheduled for BWV Dec. 31 - Jan 7 but because of DNieces's school schedule would like to change to Dec. 28 - Jan. 4. Of course there are no studios available at BWV Dec. 28 - Dec. 31 and I have used my OKW points for a family gathering, so I can only waitlist now at BWV. I am not very optimistic that the BWV waitlist will clear.
Will Kidani rooms start coming online by then (don't think so)?
Anyone ever booked a studio at any resort for these dates at 7 months?
I do NOT want to move more than once (HATE moving even once!) and I don't want to wait to book airfare, since it seems to get more expensive as time goes by. Can I be pretty sure of getting a studio for all 3 days so I can book airfare now?

SSR could be available at 7 months out, especially since you have the 31st covered.

There have been rumors that part of Kidani could be open by the end of the year. The last official information we had was that the first phase would open in "early 2009" but that information has been removed from the public DVC website. They finished Jambo House four months early so it seems possible that phase 1 of Kidani could open early!

This would be great since DNiece would love to be at AKV with magicalmcwho's DD!

If Kindari is opened early, does anybody think that existing ressies at AKV could be transfered to Kindari? I am booked for 1 - 8 Dec in a two bedroom which is obviously a lockoff but since I am going with two friends and their kiddies, a dedicated two bedroom would suit us better

I'm going to try a similar tactic. I will be booking a 2 bedroom at OKW for late January and trying to switch to AKV at the 7 month window. If nothing is open, I'll probably waitlist in hopes of procuring a Kidani unit once that is open.

Is there an official announcement if Kidani opens early? Or will someone happen onto the information when they call for a reservation?

I expect they would do something similar to what they did for the initial Jambo House reservations. There was an official announcement about when AKV owners could begin booking. They were given a couple of weeks to make reservations before non-members were allowed to book.

That's exactly what I hope would happen. Owners should be given first shot at the Kidani rooms before others have a chance to get them at the 7 month mark.

Yeah, that would be great. Just booked AKV for January 1-4, 2009 and went with a 2 BR SV instead of the 1BR SV since the one bathroom and tighter quarters for a family of five might diminish the enjoyment. Would love to save the points if Kidani opens early and can get a 1 BR there with more space and the extra bathroom. The CM I spoke to said they can only book you into Kidani when the rooms are declared into inventory when you call for ressies.
