Need help with US Air

We are traveling to WDW on US Air on 12/15 - booked the tickets last spring. The flight numbers have changed (twice I think) but the times have held up so no worry - until a few weeks ago. The flight still shows on their website but now it says Sold Out! I have never noticed this on any other flights - the flights usually just go away if they are sold out. I have called and asked several times and they just say the computer shows sold out. I am concerned they are going to cancel these flights when they get caught up and around to doing the December changes. Has anyone had any experience with this? Should I be nervous?

We had very similar things happen with our flight. We just returned from an absolutely wonderful trip to Disney. Unfortunately, the flights on US Air were a nightmare!!!!!!
We will never fly them again!!! The changes continued even as we were in the air. With flights being rerouted and many connections cancelled due to maintenance problems. They would reroute us to another airport that needed another connection. that connection would get cancelled due to maintenance problems( Once they gave our good plane to a Bahamas trip we got stuck yet again with a problem plane.) It took us over twenty four hours to get home .. the flight should have taken four!!! We were treated very rudely by many of the agents.... Other agents said yes, they are hearing these same complaints from many other passengers. Noone seemed to want to listen and kept telling us to go somewhere else... to another person. One person even told us another airport made the decisions for that airport!!
We finally got home.. I know this isn't encouraging , I just wanted to let you know....

I heard that USAir's changes are done for December as of Oct 14. I had checked our flight for December 1 last Monday on the website and it said "sold out", but when I checked it later in the week it was available again, although the round trip price was $795. There are 3 or 4 other flights for that date still showing sold out (PIT-MCO). Our flight to FL is the same, our flight home changed by about 10 minutes. I think they finished with their cancellations and put people on other flights, so the flights left are pretty full. Did you reconfirm your actual reservation and seats?

DebbieB - Yes, I have reconfirmed and at this point I guess we are OK. I was just wondering if they would show a flight as Sold Out and then cancel it. Not logical but.......... I will continue to watch and check periodically and stop worrying!

actually I talked to USAir this morning and they said that a lot of their flights are showing as sold out due to scheduling changes, whether or not they are actually sold out. She told me that they are trying to do their cancellations a week in advance, but that they are running 23% less flights. She also said that calling the day before and the day of is no guarantee that the flight will not be cancelled, but they would do their best to accomodate schedules.

Right about now, the 22 hour drive is sounding better and better.
