My kids know we are going to Florida but dont know we are flying (they haven't flown before). So I think I am going to create a scavenger hunt to end with a saran wrap ball. I need ideas on what to put in the ball besides gum and luggage tags so they will figure out that we are flying.
Then they want to be woken up with "surprise, we're going to disney world ". The only problem with this is that we will be at the inlaws house with the kids sleeping in a little room off the inlaws bedroom. Also, the past couple trips to Florida we have done a day trip to DW to ride transportation and visit Disney springs so I need to get across that we are staying at DW for 6 nights and then flying home. I was thinking about a copy of our itinerary tied to a balloon and then waking them up an handing them a balloon but I would love to hear some other ideas.

Maybe those plastic kid “pilots wings”, pictures of your resort, and some kind of room key wrapped up into the layers of the plastic wrap ball? We surprised our daughter by having a scroll with “surprise, we’re going to Disney World” written on it with confetti inside a balloon and we gave her a pin to pop it. Your kids will be over the moon no matter how you do it! Good luck!

We once did a letter from "Mickey Mouse" saying he was excited to have us come and stay and couldn't wait to see us and what we thought of the resort.

I did the scavenger hunt, ostensibly to find something they would need for our trip to "Phoenix." Here was the second to the last clue and the last clue that I modified a little for you that might help. I did the last one at the gate itself. Until that point they honestly thought we were going to see our ILs. You could do a little plane goody bag with mickey themed snacks like disney fruit snacks or crackers, travel disney kleenex, bandaids, etc. with the plane wings and the itinerary.
Clue #9
I know you are anxious
to see what’s in store
but you’ll have to wait
just a little bit more.

You have one more stop before you are done.
But this stop is not close to home.
Planes come and go
and they all park here,
by the passengers with bags
and all of their gear.

For there is one final stop
until there is no more wait
and you’ll find this
by the
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _.

(Answer was airport gate)

Last:

So take a deep breath --
you’ll be all right.
This is no cause
for one lick of fright.

Because instead the excitement
might make your toes curl
when you finally stand in [you could change this to 'when you fly off to' to highlight the flight]
Walt Disney World (I pasted a true stylized image with Mickey and the font).
