I need help with something and figured maybe someone on here could help me. My first trip to WDW was back in 1989. We only spent one day at Magic Kingdom. I remember eating at a restaurant that had a German atmosphere with a live oom-pah band (that's what I call it at least), and dancer in traditional clothing. What was the name of this place or am a dreaming this up?????

TIA

I think it was probably Pinocchio's Village Haus - it is the only one with German theming and there is occassionally an oompah band strolling around the dining area. I liked eating there because you could get a seat that overlooked the loading area of IASW. It was refurbished, though, last year and I am not sure if it is the same now. I hope they did not take away the oompah band - you can't go wrong with an oompah band!

Are you sure you didn't go to EPCOT? The Biergarten in EPCOT's World Showcase does Oktoberfest every day of the year....it's a german buffet with live oom-pah band and dancers in traditional clothing. There is no restaurant in MK that has this feature.

Pinocchio's Village Haus is now Italian....and rightfully so...Gephetto was Italian.

No guys, I know it wasn't Epcot, because we only went to Magic Kingdom! Maybe it was Pinochio's Village Haus. That is what I thought it might be, but wasnt' for sure!
