Need Help with Sizzix!!!

I was getting ready to use my big Sizzix for the first time and ran into a problem. While reading the directions it mentions a "pressure plate" to be placed over the die???? I don't have any of these and haven't seen them to buy??? Is this necessary to use it? Is there no way I can use my dies without one? Thanks!!!

I don't have a pressure plate as something extra. It may just be the name for the big hunk of metal you press down. I never read the directions and mine works fine. Go ahead and try it with a die and paper.

Are you trying to use a sizzlet? To use sizzlets in your sizzix you need an adapter. Otherwise I just use the white board (not sure what it is called), then put my paper on it and place my die on it. Nothing else special. The sidekick you need to have 2 pieces 1 on top 1 on bottom (these are clear). I hope you understand what I am trying to say (I babble quite often)
