need help with sharing photos

Need help with sharing pictures, I took all the time to put some of my pictures in albums(one at a time) and I have no way to let people see them, I used my photo album.com and the new aol album, with aol I need an email address to send them to and Its not like I can ask you guys for your email addresses. and the links to my photoalbum.com dont work.

Have you tried Photobucket.com? It's free and I believe that it enables photo sharing.

Most ISP (Internet Service Provider) accounts include a web space of some sort where you can create your own web site. If you have such a thing you can use a program such as JAlbum (available free at jalbum.net) that will allow you to create online photo albums. You can then upload or change photos as you wish. The software includes several different backgrounds and such to allow you to personalize it to your liking. It's fun and gives you complete control over what pictures you use and how they are displayed.

To post a photo here you have to go to your album and pick your picture. Make sure it is the size you want and then right click on the photo. At the bottom of the drop down menu click "properties". Then you highlight and copy the address (url). Then you come back here and in the message box there is an "insert image" button. Click it and then you paste that address (from the pic) in the box that pops up.

I'm sure this has been asked before but this is the best explaination I have found in my searches, so thank you! But ... I have tried this method and I am getting the box with the little red x in it. I have my photos on snapfish and have been able to post links to them but have not been able to have the photo(s) appear in my post. Any advice is much appreciated!

BTW to avoid the nagging of the same question from newbies like me, would it be posssible to post instructions on a sticky? I really tried to find the answers by searching the Photography and Tech Support threads but I had no luck.

I used the icon to Insert Image that added the

but still the photo didn't show. I feel like I'm getting close to figuring this out but so far I have a box with a red X where the image should appear. Like this:

NEVERMIND! I figured out that I was not copying the full URL - didn't expect to have to scroll!

Just because i can (finally!) here's one of my faves!

Glad to see it worked out for you. The scrolling part has bit me in the past also. That is a great picture!!
