Hi. We're travelling in early May and have not been to SW in many many years. Really looking forward to it but have no idea how to plan our one day there so we can really see as much as possible. Show schedules are not posted yet.

It will be me, dd8 and my mom(68 and very mobile). Since we only have the one day (Monday 5/9), I would welcome any/all advice as to what to see, what to skip etc. DD has never been to SW so the focus of this day will be things for her. We are not thrill riders so the big coasters are out. We want to focus on the shows and any interactive exhibits. If the dinner with Shamu reopens, we would be interested in doing that.

We're staying at WDW and taking bus to SW. We plan on being there for park opening and have no deadline for when we have to leave.

Help!!!

I enjoy the relaxed pace of SW compared to Disney parks. The beauty of SW is that you really don't need a schedule or a plan other than to look at the show schedule and pick times that make it so you can see the shows you want to see. They are all excellent in my estimation. Blue Horizons, Clyde and Seemore, and Believe (soon to be One Ocean) are the main animal shows, but A'lure: Call of the Ocean and Pets Ahoy are excellent and favorites of mine.

The only real plan I'd offer is to visit Wild Arctic before or during a killer whale show so as to avoid the crowds that flow into there after the show. And by the way, don't miss Wild Arctic. Even if you choose the motionless movie, it's fun, and the indoor pavilion is one of the most out of plain sight but well-themed and extensive attractions in the park. It recreates a trip to the arctic via helicopter where you explore an ship wreck and researcher's camp with Walruses, Beluga Whales, and Polar Bears.

If you're children aren't in to coasters, then simply skip Manta and Kraken, but don't miss the Manta aquarium exhibit. Also, even though they might not like huge coasters, they may enjoy Journey to Atlantis, a hybrid dark ride, flume ride, and coaster. If they could handle Splash Mountain or Big Thunder Mountain, then they'd probably enjoy Atlantis. Even if you skip Atlantis, don't miss the unique little aquarium near the ride's exit/gift shop.

I'd go in to the park with a knowledge of what they have (ie. a map in your mind) and a show schedule which are both easily obtainable on SW's website, and just enjoy the day at one of the most relaxing and beautiful parks.

Thank you to the OP for asking a question I've been wondering myself. I have a variation on that question. We will be spending one day at SW on the last day of our trip. With that in mind, what attraction/shows would my DD3 enjoy and be able to do? Thanks.

Thanks from us for the tips as well:)
It's been a while and we are looking forward to seeing all the awesome shows and rides.
