Need help with school fundraiser

I need some ideas from all you brilliant budget disers. My son's school has asked for each class to contribute a "themed basket" to be auctioned off as a fundraiser. This is about the 5th or 6th time I have done this as a room parent, so I am bored with it....until inspiration hit!!! I want to do a

"I'm going to DISNEY WORLD!" basket.

Now, all I need is some budget friendly things to put in it. Things I have already thought of are...
sunscreen
sunglasses
mickey/disney pens
autograph books
disposable cameras (for the kids)
ball caps (embroidered on my disney embroidery machine)
tote bag (embroidered on my disney embroidery machine)
glow sticks
beach towels (embroidered)



What are some other Disney-going essentials that would make my basket really stand out???

I don't know how budget friendly it is, but what about guidebooks?

I just saw in Big Lots' ad paper that they have kids' Disney character digital watches for $3- not really an essential but a cute extra for a basket maybe.

Maybe a lanyard and/ or a pin or two?

hand sanitizer
fanny packs
lanyards- (if you could find some)
small first aid kit (bandaids...)

This sounds like a great idea! Our school has had silent auctions for the past few years selling themed baskets. Last year was "Viva Las Vegas" which was a huge success, so I imagine the Disney theme will bring in even more $$ because it appeals to a wider audience.

If I were arranging the basket, I would include...
~Unofficial Guide '08 (got a new one for $11 on Amazon)
~Personalized Park Maps (from the Disney site)
~Disney Tote Bag
~4 Disney Hats
~2 Disposible Cameras

When do you need to have it by. Cause you can always go to disney.com and get the free maps. I got those last year and they were great.

excellent idea! I actually have an extra one, for some reason!!! They came with maps, so i'll throw those in too. I want to get an unofficial guide, or similar guide book...if I get enough donations from the other parents in the class, or maybe I can ask the book shop if they would be willing to donate one to the school. I also thought about a Disney CD.

Keep the ideas coming!! They are great so far!!!

Okay, so tell me about this Disney embroidery machine.........

Sounds like fun!

It is actually half mine and half my grandmother's It's a Brother se-2700 Disney sewing and embroidery machine. Half of it is mine because I have learned how to work it and half of it is hers because she bought it. She got it on clearance for $125...I think it normally retails for around $300.

I have made t-shirts, polo shirts, hats, baby stuff, tote bags. I have really enjoyed it.
