I am planning a trip with a few of my girlfriends next year, end of April/beginning of May. It will take up 120-124 points depending where I stay. So at $10/pt, that's $1240. If I do the cash ressies, I'm not sure what the discount is. What is my best bet. I don't want to use up my own points since we will all be chipping in for the 4 nights/ 2BR. It will either be at SSR or BWV. I could use some good advice!!! :confused3

Use your points for Sun-Thurs night's stay, pay member cash discount for Friday or Saturday night if it's available. Book it now, if you want to stay at the BWV. You can request a standard view and save some points there. If you want a Boardwalk View, you must request it. Get something booked soon! :cloud9:

I am going to book today, but I really don't want to use "my" points. I want to save them for when I go with my family (gives me an excuse to go more often). Because we are all chipping in (at least 5 of us) I think it would be cheaper to either rent points or do the cash ressies, that's what I am not sure about. We would go S-TH for 4 nights. HELP! :confused3

You will likly spend less renting than you would with the cash ressie.

It's going to be cheaper to rent points than doing the cash ressie for Sun-Thurs stay. You just may have to pay upfront for your reservation if you rent points. Are you sure all of your friends can/will follow through and go? I'd collect all money upfront from those that are committed to going. I have friends that I would never book a vacation with!!-- Flaky as a great pie crust! Have fun:) :thumbsup2

No, I have to say, my friends are pretty reliable. We take a 4-nite trip each year for a "Girls Only" getaway and leave the guys home. We are going on a cruise in July. Can't wait!!! I can def. rely on them to pay, that's not a problem
