Hi all,

We (Me, DH, DS8 and DS2.5) are going to Disney 11/19-11/25 and I need help with a couple of PS schedules.

I want to do a Fantasmic dinner package and an early lunch character meal at Crystal Palace(we're late risers). But don't know what days to do these two meals. We are staying onsite so we planned to go during the early hours but since those have changed I'm a little lost and need some opinions.

Thanks In Advance!!

Monique

I would do the early character lunch on the first day you go to MK, unless that's a Sunday. Character meals are a good way to introduce your kids to characters in a controlled enviroment. I try to give my DS at least one day before going to Fantasmic just because we take a really early morning flight. Hope this helps!

Thanks buzzmom3,

Now I need to know which day do MK? We'll get there on Saturday, Nov. 19 and leave the following Friday, but we'll probably won't get there until Saturday afternoon and planned to make that a downtown disney day.

But I don't want to wait too long to do MK... So what's the best suggestion?

Thanks,
Monique

Why not do DTD and then dinnner at Chef Mickeys at the CR on your arrival day?

This way you can see how the younger one does at a character meal, see the top 4 without waiting in line and not have to pay a park admission fee!! FWIW I think that CM's is the BEST character meal on property especially for dinner.

If you have your heart set on Crystal Palace we like a late breakfast, like you we are late risers but IMHO to see MK properly you just have to get to that park at opening. For this reason EE or not we make a PS for the latest breakfast at CP and then get to MK at opening. You can usually do all your must do's and then settle in for your meal.

Then, depending on how the rest of your days work out, just pick a day for fantasmic and book the package. We park hop so we like to do a morning at another park and a pool break for the older kids while the younger kids nap on our fantasmic day.

If for some reason the young one is skittish with the villans, darkness or fireworks either make arrangements to split up or save fantasmic for another day. O

On a few trips DH I had to split up and wing it, dh stayed at the park and then went back to the resort early with younger dd while older ones and I did counter service and went to fantasmic about an hour early.

We find that although family time is our best time splitting up sometimes at WDW has to happen. As they get older we split up less but we have to take everyones tastes and tolerance into account to make it a true family vacation.

Thanks Guys,

Since we're not really "thrill ride types" we mainly do MGM for the shows and parades. I'll have to decide on a late opening day and do Fantasmic then.
