Need help with points question

I have 2 weeks scheduled this fall - 1 at AKV and one at BCV. I've used banked points and some UY14 points for these reservations.

I'm trying to change my AKV one to the GFV. I have enough UY14 points from both my AKV and my BCV contracts to do this. Right now I'm walking the GFV reservation.

My question is - I'm going to use UY14 points for the GFV reservation. Once I get all of the days that I need, I'll be cancelling the AKV one. Can I get the points reallocated so that the GFV reservation will use my banked AKV ones instead?

When you say UY14, are you talking about your current use year, or are you borrowing from next year's points?

I don't have any experience doing this, but it should work.

You should be able to book what you need, then cancel the unnecessary reservation. At that point, you'll have banked points available. Call member services (you could try online, but that could be risky). You'll effectively cancel the new reservation booked with current points and re-book it with the banked points.

For us, it happened automatically. I used banked points to book my first res online. Then used current points to book #2 online, both were same dates and same names. I canceled #1 after #2 was booked. When I called MS later, they were already reallocated!

The only problem we had was trying to switch which contract was used first. It took a few weeks for IT to work it out.

Usually MS will reallocate 7 months reservations and 11 month reservations if inventory is currently available.
