We will in the parks July 24-26, Tues-Thurs.

The first day, Tues, our friend will be joining us and wants to do Cars Land for sure so that will definitely be our starting point, either getting a FP or going right to RSR.

Wed. we have an 11am reservation at Goofy's kitchen.

Other than that, we don't have a plan. But we know we want to fit as many rides in as possible. We'd also like to do Fantasmic, WOC and watch fireworks. Any tips on when to do what? I will probably be getting a subscription to Ridemax, but does that fit the shows in there too?

We also will want to get quite a few autographs, but know that will make Ridemax difficult. Thanks everyone!:)

ETA: we will be driving up from San Diego on our first day. Hoping to get on the road really early. Also need to go straight to the camera shop in DCA to get photopass+.

you can schedule in breaks on ridemax for shows and such. They don't have the show listed in the options, but you can force it to make a break for however long you need for a show and it will crank out a schedule of rides for you.

I bought ridemax about a week ago for our trip on 7/15-7/20. It is already money well spent.

Definitely play with RideMax! I spent a couple hours working on my plans (for five days, we overlap! We'll be in the parks July 23-27!) and it took some tweaking but now it looks perfect. Schedule breaks for the shows etc. RideMax will also schedule in some spontaneous free time as long as you haven't totally cram-packed your ride schedule.

Will you have tix with MM? Also, who are you traveling with? Any kids?? This will make a big difference in how you tour/plan.

Since your plan is to head to DCA first, I would wait to use my MM for Thursday. If you have it that is...

The great thing about your dates are that they are mid week (less crowds) but still in summertime so you have 2 showings of parades & fireworks. My preference is to always do the later showing of anything because it's less crowded.

If one of your major goals is to get lots of autographs, then my advice is "the early bird gets the worm".;) Head to Toontown as soon as it opens (TT opens 1 hour after official park open) and you'll find Pluto, Goofy, Minnie, Mickey and maybe even Donald & Daisy. It's been my experience that it's less crowded right at opening and all the characters are walking around. Of course...you'll probably get these during your character meal....

Another favorite is right around park close, Mickey & Minnie get all dressed up and are usually found near the Lincoln thing on Main St. I love this nighttime character greeting, makes for great pics!:thumbsup2

Aladdin is a great show, and a nice place to sit and recharge in the afternoon when youn need a break. I highly recommend it.

Thanks everyone so far!

Yes, we have one MM, so will use that Thursday. Our kids are 4, 10 and 13.

What morning do you think we should do Toontown? We have Goofy's kitchen at 11am on Wed. Probably best to go right to Fantasyland on Thursday for MM?

We always hit Toontown on the same day we use our MM. So for you, Thursday would look something like this:

7AM- MM entry, hit Fantasyland (I'm assuming) I highly recommend doing Dumbo or Peter Pan 1st!
8:45AM start heading towards Toontown
9AM Toontown officially opens

By doing it this way, you can expect to ride just about everything in FL, perhaps hit up the Matterhorn & Its a Small World before heading down to Toontown. Since TT opens 1 hour AFTER official park open time, you'll be one of the first into TT! I suggest you head straight for Mickey & Minnie's house & then hit up Roger Rabbit. You can expect to ride Roger Rabbit at least 2 times with NO wait!!! Keep an eye near the middle of TT as the other characters will begin to wander around. If your kiddos are interested, you can then look around, shop, play on Donald's Boat etc and realistically be heading OUT of TT by 10:30AM, depending on how much wandering you do.;)

This plan has always worked well for us, even in the middle of August during super high attendance levels. Good luck!
