We will be arriving at USO sometime before noon on Mon May 3rd. Being that we are entering so late, which park would be better (less waiting time)? We will also be at the parks all day Tues, and Wed morning. What's the best strategy to cover both parks during that time?

I'm in a similar situation (except my trip isn't until October).

My plan is to go to Universal the first day because I think we can do most of what we really want to do in that amount of time. (Plus, we're staying on site so we'll have front of the line access.)

My second day, the full day, I plan to spend at IOA. I went there back in '99 and LOVED it, and we wished we had spent more time there.

Our third day, which will only be a partial day because we're heading over to Disney after check-out, we'll probably go back and cover anything we really want to do again. My plan is to get a pass where we can enter both parks on the same day, so if we decide to go to two parks in one day, it won't be a big deal.

BF and I like all the big rides, and we think IOA has more of the big rides with longer lines, so that's why we're going to Universal on our half-day.

Hope that helps!

Agree.

Monday May 3rd will have light crowds.

I'd say USF since you are arriving around noon.
Most attractions hold alot of people, and the pre show on most is indoors and air conditioned.
Go to IOA on Tuesday
Then pick your favorites on Wednesday

We go to both parks every year around the same time in May. And I would definitely do Universal on Monday afternoon. Tuesday get to IOA right when the park opens (9:00?). Head straight for Spiderman and ride a couple of times (it will be very crowded later on, so get all the spidy-fix you want now). Next jump on the Hulk, which is right next to it (again, it will become very crowded). Then hop on Doctor Doom's Fearfall, which is between the Hulk and Spiderman. By this time it should be a bit warm out side so head up to Dudley Do-Rights and get wet. Then proceed to Jurassic Park and ride a few times. Ok by this time you are already wet so jump on Popeye & Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges and get real wet. Finally head over to Dueling Dragons and dry off. After the rides are done you can rest and watch the Sinbad show and then do the Poseidon's Fury walkthrough. If you’re hungry get some grub at Mythos Restaurant. This action plan has always worked great for us with little lines. And on Wednesday finish up anything you didn't get to do at Universal. Hope you have a great time and we will be there on the 9th.:bounce:

If u want to ride Hulk front row get to IOA before it opens we did this in march and rode it twice front of row in 10 minutes :jester:
