We bought Pal Mickey our first day at WDW and he came everywhere with us! He entertained by DD, who was three at the time, when we had a wait on line or even just as she sat in the stroller while we walked or waited for the bus. She would talk to him and play. Pal Mickey sings songs, asks jokes and trivia questions and was like having a little mini guide with us. As I am sure you have heard, he also shares tidbits of information as you stroll through the parks. I personally loved his little giggle, which he did whenever he had something to share with you!

I think your youngest would probably get the most benefit from him, but he is also a wonderful souvenir for the whole family.

Enjoy your trip!!

We bought one last year and honestly, it's a nice concept, but as we travel during spring break, there's too much noise and distraction to hear him say anything. My littlest one does enjoy the toy as a Mickey doll, but IMO, a plain old Mickey would suffice. My husband *still* doesn't know the thing was $65.

i got mine off ebay for a total of 43 bucks with shipping. i thought my kids would like it..cause i know i cant wait to use it:dance3:

Love mine  - and I'm 42!

My Pal sits patiently and waits to "home" and is always pleased to see the suitcases in the mud room.

I love hearing what he has to say...and it's a little piece of the magic that gets to come home with me after each visit.

His giggle is adorable.....I usually put a small clip through the loop on the back of his head and put him on a lanyard over my shoulder. He's easily accessible and isn't "weighing me down" all the time. It's like his "leash":rotfl:

Be careful....the little is addictive....mine now owns all the outfits WDW makes, and a few additional contraband items that make his stays more enjoyable. Like a mini lanyard for mini pins...because I'm a big pin trader, so I made a little lanyard for him to have and then I could trade mini pins for his lanyard. It's fun, and I've had more comments from CM's on the mini lanyard....

But for business...I find his comments helpful too - he does tell when there is a short line somewhere...;) but his jokes are a little corny...:sad2

You can always find them Ebay for less $ too.

we like him, he says fun little things throughout the parks- but without a stroller, I'd say it's kind of heavy, and no one wanted to carry him,so it was kind of a pain too- poor ds loved him, but he'd hook him onto his waistpack, and the weight would make his pants fall down...... that one pound feels pretty heavy after a full day.....when we had the stroller,I liked him more.... but we all liked hearing jokes and info

He kept DS7 and DD3 entertained most of the time (esp waiting in line for the bus or bus rides), but they got tired of holding him. I got tired of hearing all his "suggestions" in the parks so we started ignoring his giggles. The kids play with him now that we're home, and he sits on DD's bed with the other animals and is a constant reminder of our next trip! We bought him outfits, which also kept the kids occupied by changing his clothes. While we didn't use him that much, I still feel he was worth the money and a great souvenier. And we'll be taking him on many more trips in the future.

I got him off eBay for $45 for our 2005 trip, and sold him for $25 on eBay 2 months later. It was a nice distraction for the kids at times, but we forgot him in the room 4/7 days. We did get some good advice about the wait times and reminders about the parades though.

He is very hard to hear and you will need a voluteer to take care of him, otherwise he is one more thing for you to carry.

For those that carry him, I have a lanyard and a clip for my belt. I use both. The clip on my belt keeps the weight off my neck from the lanyard. The lanyard keeps me from losing him if he falls off the clip.

I am something of a fanatic about my Pal Mickey so am not the best judge if he is worth it. However, my DH enjoys listening to what he has to say when we are in the parks. I was going to leave him in the room one day and DH wouldn't hear of it. PM is full of little tidbits of information when you walk by different places. We especially enjoy what he has to say when we walk by the different lands at Epcot's World Showcase.

Kids love playing his games and listening to his jokes. He also helps pass the time between WDW trips. When I'm starting to feel lonely for WDW, I turn him on and listen to a couple of his corny jokes or songs.

You can get the 50th version in the tuxedo from the Outlet malls in Florida for around $45 (includes shipping) right now. You can call them to order. The sorcerer version and the 50th version are supposed to be basically the same except for the outfit. The sorcerer version is availabe in the parks for $65 before tax.
