I'm looking to my Budget board friends for some help, I'm looking for a good case and keyboard (don't have to be connected) for the Nexus 7 (2013). I'm receiving it as a gift but want to protect properly without breaking the bank. I'll be using it for work, I'm a therapist with birth-5yr olds so I need something solid. My go-to Otter Box doesn't make cases for these yet so I'm stumped for the moment researching a solid case. I'm hoping some people on here may have one of these tablets and advice. Thanks!

The keyboards within a shell are very tiny, and they are not meant for real typing. It's more like finger pecking each key. Some have usb ports, others are bluetooth keyboards.

I have my 7in tablet in a simple leather case that was no more than $10 on ebay. I found a clearanced bluetooth keyboard at Target for $25. The keyboard is full size, very slim, and slightly curved for easy typing. The one thing I would invest in is a good screen protector. I have an invisible shield on my now.

I usually carry it in a laptop bag (it's too small for my laptop). I'm not that rough with it, but I have let little kids play with it in the case, and nothing has happened to it. On occasion, I have dropped it to the floor by accident. Because it's bigger, it doesn't get banged around like my phone. I keep my phone in an otterbox as well.
