We've just booked an unexpected short trip for my friends birthday to Disneyland Paris on saturday 28th sunday 29th June.

She and her hubby are annual pass holders and go to DLRP all the time so they are the pro's in that sense. We always go to WDW so I'm not so familiar with whats available at DLRP especially at short notice.

So I need ideas for a saturday evening birthday surprise.

We will definitely be watching Dreams - is there a dinner package/ dessert party like they have in WDW that I might be able to book.

A good restaurant to eat in, something we could organise ourselves and just do as a surprise in the parks.

Im open to all ideas :goodvibes

You're friends will be able to try the new Ratatouille ride if they are Dream AP holders!!

You can buy a package like the one you mentioned, I'm not sure on the details but its a hefty price. I'm sure others will tell you about their experience as some of the DISers have attended it in the past :)

The only Dreams package is with California Grill; and it's €199 per adult!!!
Walts or Blue Lagoon would be nice for a meal before watching dreams.

Just did the dreams package with three friends for my birthday. Eye watering price (199x4) but then it was a special occasion and the experience really was something amazing. The food served in the package compares well with "real" gourmet restaurants (and as two of us had special dietary requirements which we forgot to mention in advance, we really got to test their ability to improvise... Which was brilliant!), drinks, including reasonably good wine "on tap", was included. Just be aware that you will be watching the Dreams show from the top floor of the hotel in what is usually the castle club's breakfast room (there's a balcony you can step out on or sit down by the window). We were completely alone for this, but apparently they've only just reintroduced the dinner package for sale so not many people book it yet. You get an amazing view and the sound is piped into the room through speakers so you don't miss out, but you are quite far away from it all. Still looks brilliant (two of us were in joyful tears by the end) but something to be aware of if you're used to seeing it all up close.

Great to hear the feedback! sounds fabulous. you should post a review on the California grill thread.
