Need help with hotel reservations!

We're planning a 3-day, 2 night DL visit August 21-23, 2010. We would like to stay at GCH, but want to wait for a special offer (Disney Visa, etc.) I'm wondering if it's better to book the GCH now, and then call back and change or cancel depending on whether I find a discount. Or should I just wait a few months? I always book as early as possible at WDW, but they don't charge for changes or cancellations if you call far enough in advance.

I would appreciate any suggestions! (And thanks, again, to Hound 109 for the posting advice!)

You really don't need to book this far out, even for summer. Deals for summer came out in early April this year. You can change existing reservations if a better deal comes out, but there is a $75 charge to do so. We are hoping to book GCH in January and haven't not come close to booking yet...waiting for good AP rates still......
