I am not exaggerating when I say I have had this headache in the same place for at least a month now. It's in my left temple and sometimes it will also be behind my left eye (like today). I cannot shake it. Sometimes it turns into a migraine. Even when it's gone, it's not fully gone. I have taken every kind of OTC medication. My sister gave me one of her prescription migraine pills and it didn't work.

My husband tells me to go to the doctor. I don't have a general physician. Could my OB/GYN call me in a prescription without a visit to the office?

I think it's stress. I lost my job about 6 weeks ago and haven't been able to find anything. I'm getting so stressed and upset. I thought I had a really good job last week, but didn't get it. Is there something else that could be triggering it?

You absolutely need to get to a doctor to have it checked. The fact that it's in the same exact place all the time, well, that sends up some red flags. I doubt an OB/GYN will prescribe anything over the phone without an exam.

Bite the bullet and make an appt. with a general practitioner - you need to get some peace of mind - and relief from your pain. :) :grouphug:

Just because the migraine meds didn't work doesn't mean that it's not a migraine. When I get a bad migraine and don't take meds right away, it takes a couple pills to get it to go away. And yes, I've had pain for a whole month.

But regardless, you need to see a doc to get checked out and make sure that's the problem and rule anything else out. Probably it isn't anything serious, but an MRI wouldn't be out of the question (I've had a couple, which were no big deal).

Have you tried a sinus headache medicine, like Advil sinus? The location of your headache sounds like the sinus headaches my DH gets. When he gets them, nothing but Advil sinus even comes close to getting rid of the headaches.

Of course, if nothing is getting rid of your headache, it's definitely time to pick a general physician and go see him. I hate going to the doctor, too, especially a new one, but sometimes it's the only way to get to feeling better!

Hope you feel better soon. :goodvibes

Im shocked to say this, but try Gatorade it works for any headache trust me i know.

Since you are stressed, you could be grinding your teeth. It could be TMJ. You need to get checked out by a doctor.

Peace of mind can work wonders.
