We are new to Universal. We will be staying on site to get the early enterance to WWOHP. If the park opens at 9 and we can enter at 8. What time does that mean we go? I am do not know the parks so what time would we leave RPR to walk over? Where does the 8:00 mean from? Where is the ticket check? Do you line up earlier? Thanks for any help..

We were there just before WWOHP opened and were able to get in thru early entry.

The early entry at that point in time was way over to the left of the turnstyles. We saw the main ones were packed and walked left. I asked a Team Member who showed us the line. Turned out there was a sign but it was blocked by all the people.

It only took us 15 minutes to walk there. We got there right at 8am. It worked fine.

Have fun!

We had the questionable pleasure of being there the week before Christmas. ;) They adjusted the park hours just before we left from opening at 9 to opening at 8 (which meant early entry at 7 ), and it was cold too!

We checked in a little after 6, left the bags with the bellhop, and walked over from Hard Rock Hotel - only took 10 minutes or so. They actually let us in at 6:50, and everybody walked quickly to the WWoHP.

So were there a ton of people getting in with early hotel entry? I'm just wondering how much of an advantage it is to get there an hour before the "general public" crowds. If I remember right, only WWoHP is open early, so I'm guessing everyone heads in the same direction with the same goal! How long was the wait for FJ before normal park opening?

Thanks!

There was a respectable crowd but not a HUGE crowd. We stopped at Olivander's first and went through that. Then we went to FJ. Had they not been having mechanical issues, I don't think our wait would have been long. As it was, first they announced a 20 minute delay, then a 30 minute delay, and then a hour... As you might imagine, people weren't too happy (lots of booing - not me, the other people!) since all of these paid to stay onsite (probably largely for early entry and FOTL).

My daughter said that the next morning went very quickly (we actually had a house rented and just got a room at HRH for one night for the perks - she and her husband stayed in the room that night because there was no way DH and I were getting up at the crack of dawn for a repeat experience! :rotfl2:).

And, yes, you're right, early entry applies only to WWoHP. Also FOTL does not apply to FJ or RipRideRocket, but the single rider line is great. Truthfully, you really don't see who you are riding with on those two rides anyway so it doesn't really matter.

Guests of the Hard Rock, Royal Pacific and Portofino are able to enter the park one hour before opening. There is NO other express pass to get into HP any earlier or quicker.

Additionally, if you have any type of equilibrium problems I highly suggest that you DO NOT go on Forbidden Journey. It is unlike any ride you have ever ridden before. I have said from the beginning that it reminds me of a cross between Spiderman, Hulk and Soarin the throw in some things you would never expect!

If you can handle it, it is one of the coolest rides I have been on in many years but do be prepared...even on slow days, the lines are pretty long. I always suggest going later in the day cause early morning are hotel guests, then the gates open and it looks like the running of the bulls...people run to get there like it is going to disappear!!

Have fun!!
